Agreed, Barbarossa. I'll put it a plug for Yeats's Collected Poems.
The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox, After You'd Gone by Maggie O'Farrell Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt
The Princes of Ireland by Edward Rutherfurd
Lion of Ireland by Morgan Llywelyn
The Hounds of the Morrigan by Pat O'Shea is an excellent book that takes Irish Myth and places it in a modern setting. For any one who has read Good Omens, The Hounds of the Morrigan does with Irish Myth that Good Omens does with Christianity. It is an interesting story filled with rich humur and the absurd.

From the south Roddy Doyle and from the north Colin Bateman, good easy reads there with heaps of excellent characters.
Normal People by Irish author Sally Rooney is a contemporary romance novel which deals with the on and off romance between students Connell and Marianne. The book was longlisted for the Man Booker award. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review

The Táin: Dark Ages carnage as folk fight over a bull...and folk wonder over the complex Hx of Ulster, it kind of starts here.
I suppose you should read some Joyce or Yates as well...
