I love Lois Lowry's books and met her last week and loved meeting her. She's been writing some books that don't look as serious, but I read Bless This Mouse of late and though it is about cute little mice, it's about them trying to not get eaten or killed in the church they live in. I also love the illustrations. :)

She has some wonderful books. I need to re-read The Giver and then read the sequels. The Silent Boy was good. The One Hundredth Thing About Caroline was fun but not one of her best, in my opinion. I think I've read one or two of the Anastasia books - should I try to read them all and in order?
I did hear that! She talked about it at her signing. Bless This Mouse actually was an idea that sprouted when she was writing it because she saw a mouse scurrying around where she was writing. :)
I use to love Lois Lowry as a kid, and last week I got to remember just how much I love her. For my English 1102 class we had to read The Silent Boy. I was kind of worried because I don't really like historical fiction or realistic fiction, but I figured that it was Lois Lowry, so it couldn't be too bad. I devoured that book it was so good. I could not put it down. In the end though it kind of reminded me of (view spoiler) I'm glad I read it.
