Captain Feeney is the head of the police electronics division and Eve's mentor. He's also like a father figure to Eve, and a solid support character. He loves Eve, and that shines through in every book. He comes in early in the series, practically at the beginning of the Naked in Death.

Certain parts in Ceremony in Death really tugged at my heartstrings. Captain Feeney was grieving and he was so hard on Eve. I think his character really evolved in that one.Every time he eats those candied nuts it gives me a craving! Blue Diamond has these {awesome} cinnamon and brown sugar almonds and it just makes me want to go get a handful every single time it's mentioned he is eating them. It sure seems like he eats them ALL the time!
Yeah... Broke my heart! Poor Eve thought he hated her... But Roarke gets it all straightened out and they've been great ever since. Better, really, because Feeney understands where she's coming from, you know? And how she feels about him.

Wow, I never even heard of those nuts. I'll have to see if I can find them!!
Oooh... Eve and Capt Feeney just butted heads again pretty good in Creation in Death. The stress level in that book is SO HIGH, it's pretty crazy. I'm surprised anyone was talking to anyone else by the end!

I love Feeney. Him and his candied almonds. He's the best dad Eve has ever had. Him and Roarke are a pair when they start working on CPUs together. Mcnab too! Those guys are awesome with the tech world.
He and Eve have this wonderful rhythm to their relationship. He is like a father to her and some of the best scenes are where they don't even have to say anything but know exactly what the other is thinking.
I am currently re-reading Celebrity ( my obsession with getting through the whole series to get ready for Calculated) and fell out over the part where she takes the sex tape to him for analysis. The awkwardness was too funny
I absolutely love feeney...he is one of my favorite characters...The relationship between him and Eve is very comical at times...They get so weird around each other when it comes to showing each other the way they feel....
I love the time when they are talking about Peabody and McNabb's relationship. The sex they both agree it is something they don't want to think about. I also love the time in Naked when he talked to Roarke (view spoiler)
