John Green

Who here likes John Green? I love him and his books, especially An Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns. He has a way of writing that just makes you want to continue reading.

Oh I loved the book An Abundance of Katherines.

It's a great book. :) I'm currently re-reading it for my 100 book challenge. :)

I love all of his books. Looking for Alaska is probably my favorite.

He's definitely a great author for sure :)

Why have I not commented on this? Yes, John Green is definitely amazing. Have you read his short story for Let it Snow with Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle? It's an adorable little romance story that's perfect for the winter holidays.

He definitely is a great author. I think he's one of those young-adult authors that actually speaks to young people instead of talking to them. I think that's a talent that not a lot of young-adult authors have.

Definitely, and he really knows how to write Young-adult fiction and relate to young people.

Haha, love the Vlogbrothers. I'd still love his work if he was a rude, jerk or something, but it's nice that he's so nice and caring. Yeah, I think more people should know about him and his work, because it's so good and deserves more attention. But I do kind of like that he isn't as famous as J.K. Rowling etc.

You and me both Jenna :)Agreed. He and Hank are both fantastic :). Yeah it's that conundrum. You want him to be more widely known because he deserves it, but at the same time it's nice that mostly Nerdfighteria are the ones who know him, making him wonderfully indie.

Yeah, I love both John and Hank equally. I wonder what it'd be like if Hank tried to write a book. It'd probably be science-fiction lol.


John's books and John himself do have that indie feel because he isn't extremely popular. John's like a more modern Stephen Chbosky. I wonder what would happen to John and Nerdfighteria if he and his books became more known and popular.

I don't read much sci-fi, but I would go out and buy one of Hank's if he wrote one any day. :)

That's a good analogy, Chbosky and John. Who knows, probably more people would join and it wouldn't feel as close and connected. Plus the amount of people hanging around Your Pants would explode LOL. Gotta love the name of that site.

Definitely, and didn't John discuss in one of his videos about Nerdfighters talking about how Nerdfighteria is getting too big and people aren't as connected anymore? You're totally right. It wouldn't be as connected as it use to be if they became more popular.

It is an amazing name lol. And some Nerdfighters are already annoyed that it's getting too big, so yup, they'd definitely explode.

I love how Nerdfighteria is now, with the closeness and it would feel like everything else that starts out small and gets bigger once it becomes popular. I guess in the end it's a good thing John isn't mega popular because everything is nice the way it is. :)

It is nice :) And I know he's not mega popular, but I find it hilarious that on Amazon.com his new book (the title just having been released with no cover) became the number 1 bestselling book on that website lol.

Yeah I love that he's number 1 right now. Shows the power of Nerdfighteria. Plus I loved watching him do his happy dance when during his video :)
