I read about three to seven books weekly. I do read fast . Besides classic literature I enjoy good. Detectives novels . Right now I am reading "three seconds".
I have a stack of about 5 books waiting to be read (depending on the week, I can go through 2, 3, or 4). Right now I'm reading The Bucolic Plague by Josh Kilmer-Purcell. It's a memoir about him and his boyfriend, who are extremely successful Manhattanites and they buy a country house and accidentally become Gentleman Farmers. It's really great!
Amy, I saw this morning that you were reading that -- how unique!
Trudence, welcome! What is "Three Seconds" like?
I'm currently reading "Snobs" by Julian Fellowes, who wrote "Gosford Park" and "Downton Abbey." i *wish* I liked it, but it's pretty boring. I very rarely put down a book once I've started it, and i have less than 100 pages to go so I'll stick this out, but plan to skip his other book.
What should I read next? What are you looking forward to reading?

I ended up quitting "Snobs", but may try again with his "Past Imperfect." Instead, I'm reading "The Paris Wife", which I like so far.
I'm just finishing 'The Red Garden' by Alice Hoffman. I don't think it's as great as some of her others, 'The Probable Future' being my absolute favorite, but this one is still very interesting.I think next up I am going to read 'Moby Duck' which is about how in 1991 a cargo container fell off a ship and dropped 28,000 rubber duckies into the ocean. They've been found all over the world and this book is about all the beachcombers, oceanographers, environmentalists and other people that the author came in contact with. Sounds pretty interesting!
"Moby Duck" looks hilarious! I don't read nearly enough non-fiction... maybe I'll check this one out!
Josh Kilmer-Purcell, who wrote 'The Bucolic Plague' is speaking at the Coop in Harvard Square on Monday night, if anyone is interested. Thought I'd just pass that along!
