You know. Valjean, Javert, Fantine, Cosette, Marius, Enjrolas, and the rest. Do you relate to some of them? Do you absolutely love some of them?

for some random reason, i really really liked Enjorlas. i like Eponine too [you forgot to mention her!!!]
it was sooooo sad when they died!!!!!

I've always liked Enjrolas! Javert and Gavroche are my absolute favorites though. Eponine... Neh. She wasn't my favorite.
I Love Eponine....seriously!!!!!!
A lot of people really love Eponine. I think it may be because they all see the musical. Or listen to it :D In the book she is a selfish pig. I definitely prefer the musical version, but I'm a bit scarred for life from the other version.
No offense to any Eponine fans.
yes, she seems piggy from the summery you wrote. i guess the TAC actress is just kinda cute and sings well. and people feel sorry for her because of 'on my own'
Yeah. The musical girl is wonderful. Even I like her in the musical. Also, she gets a solo. Man, Cosette should get a solo too.
In the version I saw, the girl who played Cosette had a very operatic voice so her voice shone through in all the songs were she sang
Eponines voice in TAC was amazing. no question about it. Cosettes voice just bugged me. Fanitnes was also nice though...
Agreed. Eponine is always played by some amazing actress, while Cosette usually has an annoying voice.
Unfortunate, isn't it? Why can't they all just have pretty voices?
Really? Care to explain why? I think, after seeing the movie, that, well, my favorites are still the same. Javert, Gavroche, Grantaire, and Jean Valjean.
I love Eponine because I'm going through the exact same thing she went through. I understand her. Marius because... I have no words. I also love Valjean and Gavroche and Fontine. Also the innkeeper's wife. Can't remember her name.
After seeing the movie, all I can say is: definitely Eponine. I mean, she's poor, starving and desperate (and half-insane, in the book), and yet she still manages to be redeemed by her love of Marius.
I also like Enjolras. His complete dedication to the cause made him a very interesting character, and Aaron Tviet played him in a way that he stood out(:

I have always wanted to like Eponine, but I've never been able to conjure the admiration others seem to feel for her. All I can remember when I see her is that how in the book, she first basically tricks Marius into going to the barricade and then, after saves his life, it is made clear she only wanted to die before him, still knowing that he would die. She just wanted him to see her die. She did not think that he was going to live. I always found this a little selfish. In the musical, she's a much more admirable character and I'm starting to like her more and more. Especially as Samantha Barks plays her.
She is definitely much more likeable in the musical, and I LOVE Samantha Barks playing her. She is so amazing!! I like Taylor Swift and all, but she would have butchered that role, imo. I think that in the movie Aaron Tviet and Samantha Barks were my favorite actor and actress, with the others close behind, of course(;
Eponine (Samantha Barks was AMAZING!), Fantine (Cause she's awesome), Javert (Just cause i like his story)...yup
If I were in it, I'd want to play Fantine. She's probably one of my faves. I also love Enjolras (AARON TVEIT and RAMIN KARIMLOO) and all the Barricade Boys (:
Definately Eponine (especially Sam Bark's portray (on stage or in the movie)!

Hey, Yiqing, I can't help but notice that Eponine isn't on the that list. In this group (and the world, it seems) that's pretty rare. Could it be you also don't particularly like Eponine?! Because that would finally mean that my brother and I aren't simply by ourselves.
Yes, I really don't like Eponine a lot. I tried to but I can't help but notice that she seems to be a little selfish. In the book she decides that she wants to die, but for some reason she felt that it was necessary to try and make Marius die with her.
I also thought that I was literally the only person who didn't really like Eponine, I guess not anymore though.
Yes! That's exactly why I don't like her too. She was selfish and the way she tried to die with Marius always irked me.
I loved Markus and Cosette but I hated Enjolras.

All I can remember when I see her is that how in the book, she first basically ..."I think Éponine was a lot more complicated in the novel, and I liked her better that way. She had a very realistic personality, and it really was reflective of her upbringing. You know, she never would have actually been like Sam Barks' movie!ponine. I thought they really watered down her personality for the film, and she wasn't anywhere near as feisty and amoral as I wanted her. She really would have been more like Frances Ruffelle's portrayal in the OLC. I'm sorry, but I'm so sick of this hatred for brick!Ponine just because she wasn't a flat saintly martyr. It's a little demeaning.
My favourite characters in les Mis,no matter in the Brick or musical or movie, are Enjolras and Grantaire. I love Enjolras because he's so passionate about the revolution, even though he knew that they may lose their lives,he still continue to believe in the people of France to rise up with them. And even when the people disappointed him,he remained to be hopeful and brave. Even though I am only reading words,I can feel his spirit, his belief that the world will really change for the better. It's encouraging, especially for people like me. I am like those people in France, wanting to change but afraid of the consequences. To see a leader like Enjolras, who fearlessly leads on and dares to change the terrible situation in society, gives me strength to try and hope for the future too.And also, even though he didn't succeed, the example he made and the ideas he spread will remain the people's heart, and others will take his place to overthrow the corrupted government. As for Grantaire,he's the exact opposite to Enjolras. Enjolras is perfect, the blessed one, whereas Grantaire is far from perfect. He drinks,he gambles,he sleep with woman...the list goes on and on.He is also skeptic, always scorning at things like "social contract""rights of people". In a way,he reminds me of myself. Stuck in the mud that is the society now for too long,to think,or dare to think that it will change. I, like him, scorns at the people who are defying the government now, because I believe that it is meaningless. I,like him, make fun of the hot-blooded fools who always shouted "change!". But,like him,I also feels respect for the true believers. Also,Grantaire is quite wise too. Unlike the others, who can only think of the bright future they are going to make,he thinks of the harsh reality they are facing. I especially like his solo part in Drink with Me(such a shame that the movie cut it out):
Drink with me to days gone by
Can it be you fear to die?
Will the world remember you
When you fall?
Could it be your death
Means nothing at all?
Is your life just one more lie?
Oh,and I ship E/R.Some may say that they only have friendship, and some say that they don't even have friendship.I don't care, after I saw the interactions between Ramin and Hadely during Drink with Me,and read in the Brick how Grantaire adored Enjolras,AND read a fanfic called "I believe in nothing but the truth and who we are"(best E/R fanfic I've read, try it!),I've fallen deeply in love with this ship><
And also,I kinda dislike Marius and Cosette. Marius because...it just seems kind of...unrespectful when your best friends died for a noble cause(to cut the fat ones down to their size),you have a luxurious wedding not long after. And I don't really like lovesick boys.Cosette is okay in the muscials and movie, but in the Brick she's just...disappointing. She's just another pretty girl who likes attention from handsome boys and play dress up.The only thing I remotely like about her is her love for Jean Valijean.
Eponine! *starts crying eyes out*Enjolras too cuz, you have to admit, he was pretty hot in the movie.
Javert, although his end always impacts me his life was lived around a single man which at the end was an obsession for him that didn't drive him crazy instead they make him have a sudden release of existencial problems with himself that finally lead him to his suicide. What can I say? After I read and re-read his death (before the movie released)through that week and I laughed about anything, I suddenly remember Javert and I was happy yet I was aware of the ironic ramifications of my happiness: *Cries* for Javert
