Q&A with Nina Perez discussion

I'm curious to know how you pictured the characters. Who would you imagine playing the main characters if this were a film?

The only one I can actually envision is Dr. Tesla, and I see him as either Gary Oldman or Alan Rickman. That may be just because of my burgeoning Harry Potter fandom.

Kalina is difficult, because I view her as more ambiguous than not, but if I just had to put an actress to her, I'd say Lyndsy Fonseca.

Everyone else is a toss-up.

Kalina I totally see as Kali in a few years. The way you described her in the book made that picture of Kali in the sunglasses pop in my head.
Ashlyn, I think of Isla Fischer (sp?) as a redhead.
Jack is totally a thinner Taylor Launter.
Violet, even though she is bi-racial I kept thinking of the black haired girl from Parenthood.

I'll have to get to you on this one after I read it a second time. I'm such a fast reader the first time through it was like I was drinking a glass of water after being in the desert for days, I gulped it down to quench my thirst. Now, I'm going to go back and sip at it like the fine wine that it is and savor everything. After that, I'll let you know who I "saw" in each part. :)

I say Julianna Moore for Grace.....

Nicole, I like both of those choices, but I don't know if Tessa can "do" 15/16 anymore. Would be nice if she could!!
