Funny you should say that. A few weeks ago I decided to try and grow a tomato plant in my kitchen (everything I've tried to plant in my flat so far has died or refused to grow). I checked on my seed this morning and it looks like it has started germinating, putting out a little root! It made me very happy :D
My nomination is "The Wisdom of Sollitude - A Zen Retreat in the Woods", by Jane Dobisz. I'm currently doing research and planning for a retreat in the woods of Vermont; probably this summer. If anybody, here has an experience to share regarding this topic; feel free. I'm open to any input I can get. Thanks! Tim
Please Link to your NominationWe can't count the nominations unless we are sure of the book you want to nominate.

Sounds great Tim, shame Vermont is a bit far for me :P
I hope it goes well.
Edit - with regards to Kristi's post, please check I have linked the book you nominated. If not, please link to the correct one.
Hi TimI have had some wonderful solitary retreats at Karme Choling in Vermont. They do large programs as well but have 7 cabins in the woods. They have a full time retreat support person so that even though you are completely on your own there is help if you need it.
You can check them out at
http://www.karmecholing.org/index.php
There are photos and descriptions of the different cabins.
Have a great retreat
Larry

Got it Ashley! Interesting stuff. I've love for us to read a biography sometime.
Brilliant Moon is the Autobiography of one of the most significant masters of Tibetan Buddhism. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35...
He takes us on his journey with him from his earliest years in Tibet, his training, and having to leave Tibet and then travel throughout the world spreading the dharma. Very inspiring.
