Christine This book has been in my TBR pile for a long time. This gives me the incentive to read it sooner rather than later. Thanks Dustin for getting us going again.

I have been reading it since September. So I'm not all that speedy.

Janice I just picked up In the Woods, and am starting it today; looking forward to hearing everyone else discuss--

Janice This book has me thoroughly pulled in; it is really well written, the story is intriguing and absorbing. I am having to work a lot of hours lately, (drat!) so I haven't finished yet, but am over half way through. Have no idea who the murderer may be--

Janice I finished In the Woods several days ago; I am so glad we chose this as a group read, otherwise it would still be someplace on my "to-read" list, and it was quite a good read! This is my review:
This book was totally absorbing for me. I had a hard time putting it down, and thought about it when I wasn't reading it. It is hard to believe this is a first novel, with how tightly woven the story is, how the characters reveal themselves throughout the story, how long the book is; the suspense and mystery development is excellent. I had no idea who the real villain might be until the characters began to suspect and realize themselves. I will be anxious to read more of this series, and by this author.

Jan C (woeisme) | 119 comments I agree. As soon as I finished it, I ordered the next book. Although the size of it is kind of daunting me.

message 15: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 35 comments Jan, don't worry about the size. The Likeness is terrific and you will breeze through it.

I guess I'm starting a little late as this group read is scheduled to end on the 15th - I might extend it a month.

I just started listening to the audiobook today and so far I'm really impressed. I like the words this author chooses. The opening of the story with the descriptions of the woods in the summer was just beautiful and then there is a twist when we find out who our narrator for the story is :-) Amazing so far, hope it continues to amaze me.
