Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 204 comments I noticed Nïx didn't have her own topic. Since she's so popular, I thought I'd give her one. ^_^

Last night, I dreamed I noticed in the back notes of a book, that KC gave a strong hint of who Nïxie's lover would be! I was so excited about sharing my insight with all you fans. But of course, as soon as I woke up, the memory faded away. Besides, I realized that there was no way I'd be the first to discover something like that in one of the books. LOL!

Nix..... love her.... KC has to write faster. What will it be 2013 before we get her book I am too old I might be dead before she gets to all the books I want her to write!

Oh you are so sweet! Thank you ... lately I have been feeling I am next in line..... if you know what I mean... I am holding the line.
I just have to keep repeating I am a spring chicken.....

Sunshine | 14 comments I love Nix! I'm so happy she's getting a book of her own in the future and that will be a really looooong wait for me! She's actually my favorite character in the series -- and I LOVE her t-shirts. I'd probably have one made like it, but I'd start with her shirt in Dark Desires After Dusk where she was wearing a t-shirt that said, "Keep Me Separated". Heh!

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Keep me separated..... that is a good one....

For some reason I always picture her as older.... weird. And I am always having to re picture her in my mind. I see her as about in her 50s and a little chubby..... OH THATS ME!!!!!!!! I AM NIX .. moohahahaha

message 8: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 51 comments Faithmarie, I had the same thing with Nix at first. But she is firmly planted in my brain now.

P.S. You kill me! LOL!

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know how planted in my brain she is but the meeting with Lothaire helped me look at her differently so maybe when she gets her book and her guy I will know she is young looking. lol

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 51 comments She is you, just younger! LOL!

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

lol!!!!!

message 12: by Sunshine (new)

Sunshine | 14 comments Haha! Well, I've always thought Nix was young and gorgeous -- several characters throughout the series thought she looked like a supermodel -- most though noted she had "blank" eyes, as if always thinking of something far away. Rydstrom said in Wicked Deeds on Winter's Night something about how it's a shame someone as goodlooking as Nix is a bit soft in the head. Haha, pardon the details, I am a nut (I compulsively memorize) for scenes with Nix.

message 13: by Andrea (last edited Apr 10, 2011 08:46AM) (new)

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 204 comments I always picture Nix as older too. Maybe because she's the oldest of the Valkyrie. Plus she's always advising the other characters, and seems to be manipulating events. But she does act very young.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

I guess technically she is old .... tee hee
but also very beautiful.....

message 15: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 51 comments She is one of my favs.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Me too! I like Emma and her the most.

message 17: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 51 comments Ditto. Emma is my fav!

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

I LOVE characters like that.... so sweet and THEN get their.. what ever you call it... on

message 19: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 51 comments I guess in this case it would be vamp/valkerie on! Oh, or do you mean bi#ch? Is that an expression?

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Yup.... The BI*CH is on...lol

message 21: by Kiersten (new)

Kiersten Fay (kierstenfay) | 15 comments I'm not sure how I feel about Nix getting her own book. She's the one pulling the strings through the series. Would she pull her own strings? She's major comic relief, somewhat of a twisted mother figure, and...ahem...nuts.

message 22: by Megan (new)

Megan (GoonerBoz) | 2 comments She may not pull her own strings but she needs someone to be her equal and opposite at the same time. Which is why in Dreams I thought the way she and Lothaire interacted was very yinyang of them. She is all-knowing, he is all-doing. She is oldest of Valkerie and he is an enemy of old. Is it too convinent?

message 23: by Emma (new)

Emma | 1 comments Love Crazy Nucking Futs Nix. :D
Although I agree with Kiersten that I'm a bit unsure about her own book because of the roles she plays in all the others I'm also quite looking forward to it.
I'm curious as to how Cole will portray Nix as the main character since she's got all the soothsaying and not-being-lucid-all-the-time business going on with her.
But I will say this I hope she remains as crazy as ever and drives her mate...well, nuts. ;D

Lauren | 34 comments I love Nix!

ME TOO!!!!!

Steamywindows♥♫ (steamywindows) | 12 comments OK, I'll bite the Mike Rowe question, I am reading Pleasure of a Dark Prince (Immortals After Dark, #9) by Kresley Cole and this is the second book that mentions Nix having a thing for him. Does anyone know what this is about? Loose thread? OK that seems redundant since we are talking about NFN. Help! sw

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

I was wondering who Mike Rowe is too. I don't know if I heard right but I think someone said he is a real person.

Steamywindows♥♫ (steamywindows) | 12 comments yup, mike is the host of "Dirty Jobs", and narrator of "Deadliest Catch". Nice looking fellow, funny...

message 29: by Magda (new)

Magda He's also the guy from the Ford commercials. I don't blame Nix, I call him my TV boyfriend.

message 30: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 204 comments Mike Rowe is on some paper towel commercials too. He comes home from one of his dirty jobs and his mom has to follow him around cleaning up.

message 31: by Kate (new)

Kate (fictionalkate) | 9 comments I watch Dirty Jobs just for Mike Rowe. I understand where Nix is coming from ;-)

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Really? I am gona have to look him up. hmmmmmm

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow .... I guess he could be her father...... isn't she supposed to be young even though she is old.... I am confused. Is it his personality?

message 34: by Magda (new)

Magda This is Mike Rowe - He is verra, verra yummy.
http://www.thehunkies.com/mike-rowe/

P.S. Nix is the oldest of the bunch.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

I know she is the oldest but she is supposed to be young and not age right? Aren't all the guys young looking even if they are really really old? hahahahah Am I the only one here???????? hahahahah

message 36: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 204 comments It would be kinda cool if Kresley Cole, made Mike Rowe become immortal in one of her books. Immortals tend to stay at the same mental age they were when they were struck by immortality. I picture Nix in her early to mid-thirties. So that would make her about the right age for ol' Mike.

message 37: by Sunshine (new)

Sunshine | 14 comments Nix is the eldest among the Valkyries -- and also regarding Faithmarie's question about Nix being young and not age -- well, she's OLD, like ancient as in thousands of years old but like other immortals -- think Kaderin, Lachlain, Garreth, Lothaire, Lucia, they technically look young. As provided for in KC's IAD books, most Immortals stop aging at the age where they're the strongest as noted by Nicholas Wroth.

Pardon the long explanation, I have an almost photographic memory about details in books. It's my thing. :D

message 38: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 204 comments Sunshine, that's some talent to have! lol. I have to re-read the book if there's a partial fact bothering me.

Hi Andrea. Don't be offended, but since we already have a Nix thread, I'm going to close this one. It will still be present in the archives for viewing. Thanks.
