Invitation to Commit to Daily Meditation

Sounds like a good idea in principle, as long as people don't feel obliged to get involved or fallible if they can't keep up their practice from time to time, I don't want anyone getting discouraged. A sense of community could motivate some of us to form a habit and we could discuss our practice at the same time.
Actually, I don't know if everyone has seen it, but on page 61 there is the suggestion to keep a journal of meditation. I don't see why this can't be done communally.
How has everyone's daily practice been going? Has anyone done this?? I've committed to doing a daily practice since the new year began, and I've done pretty well. I have a hard time making sure I get my sitting in on the weekends because I sleep in and then there is so much to do with my family...lame I know, but the truth. As always, my path is a work in progress, a practice if you will... ;)

So I wanted to put something out to this group that has worked for me in other arenas: a way to check-in about daily meditation practice with people who have the same goal.
It’s simple. I set up a Google Spreadsheet with names across the top and dates down the side, and I share it with you (you being defined as whoever is interested in participating/committing). Every day, we each put a check mark or perhaps the amount of meditation time under our name into the spreadsheet. That’s it! It’s not much, but I have found that this little extra bit of being accountable to a group (specifically in my writing practice) is extremely powerful.
So – let me know if you’re interested. Message me here on GoodReads, and I will create the spreadsheet. We start now.
