Literary Fiction by People of Color discussion

This is a new way to bring readers and authors together initiated by author Victoria Christopher Murray. Readers will be able to buy books one chapter at a time monthly for $.99 and interact with the authors at www.AChapterAMonth.com in a variety of ways. While most of the authors currently participating probably don't come under the category of "Literary Fiction", Bernice McFadden is there, and LFPC group member Carleen Brice plans to publish her sequel to Orange Mint and Honey on this site over the summer. If the site is successful, I would imagine that more authors will join in.

What do you think about this idea? Would you try out a new author or follow a favorite in this way?

My memory is not what it used to be, therefore, keeping up with the thread of a story might be difficult for me. In addition, if I am enjoying a book, it would be frustrating to only do a chapter a month.

For me as well. I could probably do it with a book with which I am already familiar, but I'm not too sure about an unfamiliar set of characters.
