AnnaM (annamc) | 1111 comments Does anyone else think this looks really good? Possibly similar to V, but maybe not. I've liked Noah Wylie since his Librarian movie days. That was a good movie series. Don't know that it counts as SF though.

But Falling Skies looks interesting. My son is already interested in the space craft and the attack craft it showed in the ads.

AnnaM (annamc) | 1111 comments I think it starts on June 19th, but the ads are on now.

After reading the description, the opening premise sounds a lot like the old V. Man loses his wife in an alien invasion of Earth. Aliens kidnap his son. He fights with a female doctor (I think Julie was a doctor) against them and forms the Resistance.

But this looks more high tech in the ads. And hopefully they change up the plot more. If it IS like V then the male lead will fall in love with the female lead, even if most of it happens behind closed doors.

Anyway, it sounds good to me.

new_user | 755 comments It seems a little recycled to me too. Neither post-apocalyptic and alien invasion are really new TV themes. It'd be neat if they explored the aliens in some depth instead of just making them boogie men.

AnnaM (annamc) | 1111 comments I agree. I do like Noah Wylie though and will probably watch for him and the special effects, unless it's TOO recycled. Know what I mean?

new_user | 755 comments Yeah, I do. Hopefully not. I'll look out for it. I like Wylie too. :)
