Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Alli (allic) ouuwh, i can't wait to read The Book Theif !!! :D

message 15: by Utkarsh (new)

Utkarsh (utkes) | 97 comments I dont know if any of you remember the show 'The Tribe'. There's books based on that series, like 'Power and Chaos' and another title I cant remember. Basically, the show/book series is similar to Gone, though the kids dont get super powers. All the adults die from a virus, leaving the children to form tribes and resume their lives. It talks about various themes in life, such as governance, law & order, friendship, greed, love, lust, betrayal, family, etc. I reckon you should watch the show and read the books if possible.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

cool im going to read it :D

message 17: by Utkarsh (new)

Utkarsh (utkes) | 97 comments Nice. Have fun! I haven't found that book anywhere. I guess I'll have to try online.

message 18: by Claire (new)

Claire | 1 comments Yeah I would also recommend The book theif and the Mortal Instruments series. And If you like the mortal instruments series, Clockwork Angel (by the same author)
And, I've heard the Chaos Walking series is really good (book 1 is The Knife of Never Letting Go-by Patrick Ness), but I've never read them.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

books i would recomend
hunger games!!!
airhead series
Battle Royal (kind oof like the hunger games but it really hard to find!)
Pretty little lairs series

message 28: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) what're you implying there, anthony?

message 29: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments Crazyfan wrote: "wats it about?"

its about people called Shadowhunters that like hunt demons and stuff. and theres vamires, faries, warewolves and all sorts of demons. its a pretty good series. And it has a very confusing love story haha

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

if theres action (of some sort) and romance im sure ill like it:D romance always makes everything interesting xD

message 31: by Mike (last edited Apr 29, 2011 06:46PM) (new)

Mike | 509 comments there is a lot of romance and action(:

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

then ill read it :D

message 33: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments its really good! i still have to read the 3rd book, and a 4th book just came out

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

how many books will be in the series?

message 35: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments 6 books.
Gone
Hunger
Lies
Plague
Fear
Light

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

i meant the mortal intrustions :P

message 37: by Dessy (new)

Dessy | 4 comments Uhm Maximum Ride isn't really like this series. But actually it kind of is. I liked it. My friends that read Gone like it too. I'd recommend that.

message 38: by Alli (new)

Alli (allic) i didn't like Maximum Ride, really. i read the first one, and i thought it was realllly cliche, and predictable.

message 39: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments the first 3 Maximum Ride books were okay. the rest were just awful..

Solomonmerlindaniels | 37 comments After I finished Plague I read 'The Enemy' by Charlie Higson.I found it a good read. Basically, everyone over 14 catches a disease, which turns them into zombies. Based in London, it follows a group of kids on a hunt for food and safety. Critics say it's a bit gory, I didn't find it that bad. So, if you enjoy lot's of kids fighting for there lives against a lot of zombies, The Enemy is what you want.

message 41: by Utkarsh (new)

Utkarsh (utkes) | 97 comments Don't the Gone novels remind you of the tv series Lost? I wonder if there's a book series based on the Lost tv show.

message 42: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments Michael Grant's Inspiration for Gone came from Stephen King and the Lost TV show.

message 43: by Kissie (new)

Kissie (itskissiebxtch) | 106 comments i just read a kiss in time, it was really good
oh and beastly is good too

message 44: by Mike (new)

Mike | 509 comments I just read Divergent by Veronica Roth. It was an amazing book, im obsessed with it now. I reccomend it to everyone here.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

i recomend Hunger Games :D greatest book ever, catching fire and Mockingjay were sorta a disappointment :(

Solomonmerlindaniels | 37 comments I've read the Hunger Games, on the first day each book came out. :D

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

i was so disappointed with catching fire and mockingjay so i love how the Gone series gets better :D

Solomonmerlindaniels | 37 comments Yeah. I couldn't understand most of Catching Fire and nearly none of MockingJay.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

i liked Katniss better when she was on her own so much more action and its better :P

Solomonmerlindaniels | 37 comments Yeah
