Name: Ty Elwood
Age/Gender: M/ 17
Personality: Ty is full of wild ambitious, but his inexperience with the world is often is greatest handicap. He grew up in a small town where the people would rather pretend the demons didn't exist than to face them; even though such an error always led to more heartache. Ty grew frustrated with the ignorance of his village and left on his seventeenth birthday for Monk's Respite in order to train to be a Hunter. Ty begins to look increasingly imcompetant in comparison to his new campanions but he is eager to learn and to fight beside them regardless.
Appearance: Light eyes, darker hair. His skin looks unnaturally smooth as it is uniquely free of scars and wounds.
Other: Was just about to begin training to be a Hunter


Familiar: Kaden
male; Tiger
Personality: Kaden is known for his prideful mannerisms though no one can tell what he really thinks about himself. Kaden is usually optomistic, no matter the situation. He is also very passive. He's a follower, not a leader and he is usually the last one to put the peices to a puzzle together- both literally and figuratively.
Human appearance: Lean and square figure; dark hair; bright green eyes- both his eyes and his smile are tiger-like. Has a light dusting of freckles.
History: ((See Luna's)) When Kaden left to tack demons on his own, he found the source of their magic(?) (see rp for more accurate details) which causes the Harrows to regenerate as demons (much like the Familiar do) which killed him instantly. He is not aware that Ty desended from his own blood line; he always assumed Ty and all other of his decendents he was a Familiar for were from his brother's line.

Name: Sevira Ross
Age/Gender: 20/F
Personality: Rough, tough, and all that stuff. She has worked hard to be where she is - working in the mud with the big dogs. Sevira is fierce and determined to make her place in the world. She is a narcissist when it comes to her abilities and her familiar, with a very aggressive heart.
Appearance:

Familiar: A male albino gryphon - Kira.
Familiar's personality: Aggressive just like Sevira (must run in the family). He has a short temper, little patience, and bundles of pride. Aside from all these dominant traits Kira is loyal, a good judge of character, thoughtful, and straightforward. "Kira" is not his real name, and he won't tell Sevira how he is related to her. Sevira assumes he is her great grandfather.
What do you do?: A Hunter for two years.

Other:
~Sevira is an orphan; her parents died when she was 17. She has reasoned the cause of their deaths to be by demons.
~A few months after the death of her parents she began training to be a Scout. She met Aiden during training. Neither of them were getting anywhere; she due to her misery and Aiden due to his disability. They clicked, and soon after that Sevira began to train as a Hunter, and helped Aiden to finish training as a scout. They have worked together ever since.

Name: Rowan Goldwyn
Age/Gender: F/19
Personality: Even though she's young, she's tough. She's been hardened to the world after just four years of scouting. She's witnessed the death of many of her partner hunters- beginning with that of her own brother's- and chooses now to not be emotionally attached to anyone. She always has to feel like she's serving a purpose and she's a fighter. There are moments when she looses her will to continue living but continues to fight for survival; In her mind, if she's going to die, she's going to go out in a glorious battle.
Appearance:

Tall and slim, with long black hair. Her eyes are a red-brown that always seem to have a fire behind them. She recently took heavy damage from demon blood, which is sure to leave blotchy scars over her body.
Other: Is developing the Scout sense; always fights with a crossbow.


Familiar: Luna (hm... last name needed)
Current form: Silver Wolf
As a Scout Familiar, Luna can sense the auras/presence of people and creatures from great distances. Rowan also has this ability but it is not as developed.
Human appearance: Tall and slim with silver-blonde hair and pale blue eyes.
Personality: Always the voice of reason, she keeps those around her under control. She acts calm and collected but there is always a pool of emotion in her heart at any given moment.
History: She and Kaden ran off together shortly after marriage to research the demons. They realized early on that mankind would never be able to kill them off so they decided to study them to see if they could discover their source and any possible weaknesses. After discovering that the demons always seemed to migrate back to one place, they began to follow them to their source. The day Luna realized she was with child, Kaden went off to track some demons alone and never returned. Luna never had the chance to even tell him she was pregnant. Luna returned alone to her home village to bear and raise the child.

Name: Jason savage
Age/Gender: Male, 21
Personality: He is a complex man, he normally goes along with anything so long as it doesnt harm him and doesnt mind taking or giving orders but if someone demands something from him he more or less sees them as viable prey and hunts them with sadistic glee and insanity.

Name: Aiden Caelum
Age/Gender: 23/Male
Personality: He is normally optimistic, smiles a lot, charitable, chivalrous, all that nice stuff and is kind to woman and children, and despises evil. Such a nice young man. So nice.
Appearance:

Familiar: A female faery - Zephora.
Familiar's personality:
Sassy, stubborn, sarcastic, pretty mean. She is only nice to Aiden on special occasions. Like her birthday. She is Aiden's great aunt on his mother's side.

What do you do?: A Scout for 2 years.
Other:
~ Aiden will only work with Sevira, but he loves meeting other people. Definitely a social butterfly.
~There is a secret about him that not many people have figured out. He has a disability and has learned to hide it, but he can only pretend so much.
~It is thanks to his disability that he spent 4 years (from 17 years old to 21) training with the Monks. Because he met Sevira he was able to do well enough to get out of there.
~Initially wanted to be a Hunter but he can't kill anything.

Name: Kia Lessa
Age/Gender: 11/Female.
Personality: Strong, willing, independent and outgoing, she is stubborn and likes to help people.
Appearance: Short and small, strong despite her figure on both inside and out. Mature face and thoughtful blue eyes. Chocolate brown hair that goes to her shoulders. She normally wears green.
Familiar: A male chipmunk - Neo.
Familiar's personality: Hardy, trustworthy. Likes to get in and get dirty, fearless, independent, protective over Kia. Basically a lapdog with lots of bark and no bite.
What do you do?: Hunter! Trying to be at least. She is actually going to be a scout, but she admires the hunters and wants to switch from scout to hunter once she's old enough.
Other:
~She is only 11, but she has faked her records and has passed as a fifteen year old. So far no one has bothered to question it, or bothered her at all.
~Her mother was killed when her family was traveling to the city for safety. It is just her and her father, but she views her father as 'pathetic', so she tells everyone she is an orphan - but she isn't.

Name: Tsubasa Quirtsquip
Age/Gender: 14, Male
Personality: Tsubasa, nicknamed, Tsu, is a friendly and curious human. His histoty goes back when he was a baby, his mother and father were the queen and king, but they get killed in the battle with the deamons. His Eagle friend, Hoshi, brought him up to what he is now. That's why he has the wings. He is a prince, so he's kind of a target. He has a birthmark in the shape of a feather on his chest.

Familiar: Eagle, Female, Hoshi
Familiar's personality: Caring, adventurous, protective
What do you do?: I want him to be a messenger.

Name: Caleb Ellington
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Personality: Caleb is (on the inside) bright, bubbly, cheerful; but on the outside, he's absolutely annoying and utterly sarcastic. He's quick on his feet and sharp with his words, and has a hard time telling anything but the truth. He's very sincere, though, so when he apologizes, take his word for it. He never means to do anything harmful to anyone; but his blunt truthfulness can often get in the way of healthy friendships with others.

Caleb has short, silky blonde hair and slitted emerald eyes. Although he's not smiling ALL the time, it's rare to find him frowning outright (he usually wears a rhetoric mask like the one above.) He's often seen running around in traveler's clothes, but can occasionally be caught with a nice vest and a tie; though only when he's being a courier to a person of the higher class. He's always barefoot, no matter what, and despises shoes... And most leather, for that matter. He's also quite... Short. 4'11", to be exact.

Jackson Tyoni; Male; Shapeshifter
Familiar's personality: Jackson is calm and peaceful, almost the opposite from Caleb; though at times, they show similarities in their strange habits of collecting pocket watches, conducting music in their heads (while making the gestures in the air in front of them), and being quite frugal with money. Jackson is immensely adept at using a sword (while in human form)... A skill that probably skipped Caleb's generation.
What do you do?: Caleb is a Messenger and Courier; as well as the substitute for the local postman. This often times gets him into
Other: Loves sniffing flowers for absolutely no reason. Likes making friends; though he rarely keeps them.

Personality: Gwen is fiesty and bold. She loves to create things, like drawings and sculptures, and she always comes up with ideas. She's smart and quick to react. She's hard to make friends with because she isn't very trusting. She breaks the rules alot, and she holds grudges.
Appearance: She has bright green eyes that reflect her mood, and she has curly light brown hair. She has a silver locket on a thin chain around her neck. She usually wears a
green cloak with gold lettering on it. On her cloak she has a large hood. Under it, she wears a brown lace up vest and a white blouse, and a pale brown skirt. Personality: Talkative, friendly, easily confused, a little bit mysterious, makes mistakes fairly often, mostly oblivious seeming but sometimes says something shrewd enough to earn a little respect

Familiar: Rust, a reddish-fur coloured squirrel
Familiar's personality: Easily cheers people up and makes people calm down even in tense situations, easily annoyed, playful, gluttonous at times, really affectionate, easily forgives people
What do you do?: Medic with uncanny ability to be a human lie detector
Other: Likes to use herbal remedies (TBRPD)

Name: Maka(Earth) Torrent
Age/Gender: 18/Female

Personality: Maka is a cinical and sharp tounged girl. That, paired with her quick wit, makes her a force to be reckoned with. She takes no prisinors or crap from anyone. She enjoys being with just her brother and their spirits.
Appearance:
Maka has long, beutiful black hair and almond shaped percing golden eyes. Her features are often drawn into a blank mask, but her eyes show a wide range of expressions. They glitter with a childlike jovialness, they are blank with pain. Basically her eyes show everything her face doesn't. Her clothes are very basic and very sturdy.

Familiar: Male/Wolf/Kaito
Familiar's personality: Kaito is very obedient and wise. Kaito and Maka work like a clock. If one breaks, their system will never work.

Personality: Maphee is very laid back. He is kind, often spacey, and enjoys taking his time. Of corse, this usually make is sister furious. He is distracted by cute girls and shiny objects(no joke).
Maphee does have a serious side when scouting. He has a keen sight that lets him spot the descrete.

Name: Charisse Wrieger
Age: 17
Gender: Female

Personality: Slightly independent, but does enjoy the company of others. Light-hearted, not often prone to anger. Not often passionate, and usually very complacent and easy-going. Active, loves to laugh, but never one to be giddy and lose her head. Calm, gentle, and she has a special weakness for the color true silver, which is the color of one scale on her familiar's throat.

Name: Alois
Familiar's personality: Efficient, quiet, logical. Doesn't jump to conclusions and always does his job. Quite the snarky one. Appears to be detached, is always quite more emotionally invested than he seems.
Appearance: Dark grey body so dark it could pass as black, black mouth, cream-colored underside with one large silver scale at base of throat on underside. Black eyes, thick silver rim around them. 10 feet long, 3.5 pounds.

Status: Messenger, finds herself acting as a Hunter often
Other: Left her rather well-off family because she didn't want to be a helpless girl.

*Guilty look* So I have this terrible habit of either slacking character forms, or neglecting them altogether. With that said, here are the (revised) Shay and Silastra, as well as the (new) Cameron.

Shay & Silastra

Name: Shayana Gennevia Colleta Allisana Lestray (Lesrat was a typo. Also, I just had to give her a long, drawn out name that she would hate.)
Age/Gender: Female, 18
Personality: Beyond bubbly. Talkative, enthusiastic, and occasionally annoyingly optimistic. The first to rush into a fight, and despite her rather skillful fighting abilities, she also just so happens to be the first one injured. Has a justifiably intense dislike for soldiers and anything involved in the killing off of the royal family, which can include her own familiar.
Appearance: (Though I'm working on getting a photo) Medium-long hair, and rich brown. Forest green eyes, pretty feature simply made for a smile. 5'6", lean, fit, and almost constantly bandaged. She generally wear an average hunter's outfit, and it never without a weapon of some sort. Has a very large tattoo of a golden crown with butterfly wings laced around it on her back, which is quite inconvenient to cover up.

Silastra (Felt like giving her a full bio, though she IS Shay's Familiar.)

Name: Silæstra Bellecote-Montenelle (I'm having fun with names at the moment...)
Age/Gender: Female, unspecified age
Personality: Fierce, bitter, sarcastic, often condescending. Grew up in a time of war, used to life often sucker punching her in the gut. Though at first can seem friendly, will quickly show that in her eyes love and trust are myths. Mental walls and barriers heavily armed with snark comments, witty retorts, and sardonic looks. Has a severe soft spot for children.
Appearance: F; A silver leopard, with a brown discoloration on her right paw.
H; very similar to Shay, except with shorter red-brown hair often tied back, a more rounded face which rarely gives off a genuine smile, and she is also almost 6'. Always dressed in a military wardrobe, with her trusty-dusty sword at her side. Has a golden tattoo of a crown with lacy butterfly wings on her right hand.

What do you do?: (Kill things.) Hunter(ish.)

Cameron

Name: Cameron Regulus Hayle
Age/Gender: Male, 20
Personality: Often detached from others, either too busy with his own thoughts or too busy dealing with other peoples problems. Often, its the latter. When he does feel inclined to speak to people other than his kin, its usually a sarcastic repartee or a calm analysis of the person he is talking to. Innovative and skilled fighter, has knowledge in basic and emergency first aid as long as it's weapon inflicted, plants and what they're good for, and has studied magic, though has never had thew opportunity to put his knowledge to the test, seeing as the magic is... busy. Extremely protective of Shay, though he doesn't act like it. He trusts who she trusts, doesn't who she doesn't.
Appearance: Brownish blonde hair, green eyes (the trademark of the royal family), good looks, leanish-muscular frame. 6'1" Has a black and red tattoo of a snarling dog's head on his chest.
Familiar: Deceased. He was a german shepherd, but getting that information out of Cameron would be quite a feat.

Other: Known as 'The Hound' of the Crown. His lifeline depends on hers. For some reason (probably magic from long ago) his family line is literally obedient to the crown's. If a direct command is issued to him from Shay, he is physically obligated to do it. If in some event she were killed for any reason other than old age, not only would it be a failure on his part, but he would die as well. (I was getting to that part soon. For this reason, everything that Shay tells him is always a carefully worded request, laced with 'pleases' and 'would you's'.

OO I like the connection with Cameron! I think his Familiar being a german shepherd was also fitting.

Haha thanks! I was half tempted to make his familiar something totally random, but stuck with the canine theme.

Name: Kira Elwood
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Apperance: Her dark red-brown hair is just longer than her shoulders and she has brilliant green eyes with long lashes and a spattering of freckles. Her features are long but toned.
Personality: Kira, like any small village girl, is a romantic. She is very thoughtful but her emotions can easily cloud her logic. She can find the good in anything but is often misjudged herself. People see her as over protected and far too innocent. And in some ways she is. She had tried to leave home when she was 17 to become a Messenger, but her mother, tramatized by her husband's own death doing Messenger work, convinced her to stay home. Kira has never forgiven herself for staying as all of her friends left to receive their occupant trainings, leaving her alone.

Thanks. I'll let you know what I find. So far we've always had the familiars be the same gender as their decendent. Is that a rule of the magic system or is that just coincidence?

How cow! We do! I don't think it's been intentional, but that's an interesting coincidence.

So far the names I've found (both boy and girl) are:
Nanyu, Quinn, Shen, Renee, Opal...

Whichever you think would be more fitting. But to shake it up, I vote male.
