Chapter 1
The Rodriguez Kids


I walked into the kitchen to find that my brother, Carlos, was already up. Then, I noticed my mother was up as well. “ Hey Mom, Where's Dad?” I asked my mother.

“Oh, Helena, he's already dressed and in his office. If you need him for something, don't annoy him to much.” My mother said.
“Ok, Mom. Oh, and can you make me some pancakes? 3 please? Thank you!” I then ran off to my fathers office.

“DADDY!!!!!!!!” I screamed.
“Yes, Helena? Is something wrong?” My father asked me.
“Oh, yes. There is! It's MAJOR. I.....I......I.....”
“What did you do?” My dad asked me.
“What? Nothing? What? Nothing? What?” I said.
“Look, whatever you broke, fix it. I have something to tell you. And all your siblings. Go get them. All of them. Even Marlia. Go.”
“Fine. I'll do it.” I went halfway down the stairs and called out,” ELLA!!!!! CARLOS!!!!!!! MARLIA!!!!!!!!! COME UP TO DAD'S OFFICE NOW!!!!!!”
My sister, Ella, replied,”WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO YOU?”
“BECAUSE I'M OLDER, DOOFUS! GET UP HERE! DAD SAID YOU'LL ALL BE GROUNDED IF YOU DON'T!”
“I didn't sa-” My dad was cut off by the pounding noises of my siblings feet, running up the stairs to my dads office.
My sister was the first one up here. “Dad, what do you want?” Marlia asked.

“First thing, Did any of you pull a prank and send a letter telling me my kids are wizards?” My father asked.
I looked around the room at my siblings. Marlia stared at my dad. Carlos muttered,”Our dad is going officially crazy.” Ella had a look on her face that was like,”Dad, you are CRAZY.” I just looked at the floor.
“Ok, So none of you are guilty. Ok, so, now to explain why I say that. I got official letters from a school called.....” He looked around his office and finally found the letters. “Lifeway Wizard Academy. There is a letter for each of you! Marlia April Rodriguez, Carlos Cristofer Rodriguez, Ellanora Mari Rodriguez, and Helena Carolyn Rodriguez! All of you there! So, apparently, you are all wizards. They left a phone number. Should I call it?”
“Yea! Why not? Lets find out if it's real!” Ella said.
“Ok, I will. Here I go!” My father said. I looked at one of the letters. It was Ella's. It said the number was (1-191)-555-6735.
“Hey dad, the number is 1-191-555-6735. Go ahead and call it!” I said to him.

“Ok! I will!” He dialed. He put it on speakerphone.
An English accented lady was speaking into the phone. “Lifeway Wizard Academy, Gladys Speaking.”
