Paperback. (Kindle Edition £0.69)
Soho 1936. As war clouds gather over Europe a night-club singer is recruited by the British Secret Service to act as a spy on a German transatlantic luxury liner. 1940 finds him in Paris with his new wife, running a spy network whilst using his talent as an artist to pose as a portrait painter for the top Nazis. This leads to him being sent to Hitler's lair in the Obersalzberg where he is forced to paint 'The Hitler Canvas' - a portrait with dark, supernatural elements. His self-imposed mission after the war is to find and destroy it.
You can see the first chapters on Amazon or on my web-site at http://www.ianconway.biz which also shows some of my paintings and sound-bites from my cabaret show - like my book hero I am a professional artist and a singer, but not as talented as him.
