I can't pick a favorite. I'm SURE I'm much older than you guys, so let's say I'm talking about characters for younger chicks to lust after (not myself).Okay, Frank Lee in Remember me to Harold Square...sweet, innocent and cute.
Little John in Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley (okay, he's older, I can lust after him without embarrassment), macho man with a tender side!
I can't pick either I have a favorite from like each book and series. I know pitiful haha. Kartik is def on my list hehe.
Robin McKinley is a woman. I saw her at a young writer's conference a few years ago, and she said she gets a story in her head, gets on her rowing machine and rows while going over the thing in her head (like a movie) until it feels right, then she starts writing. I'd like to try that someday but figure my body will give out before I solidify a plot. Anyway, she won a Newbery Award for The Blue Sword (I think that was it) and had one of the first kick ass fantasy characters who was female....a girl who goes off to fight a dragon (read it a long time ago). Okay, now I'm really going to have to bite and read Libba Bray. Indian boys, yum!
Yes! Woo hoo! Indian boys are yummy for sure! My favorite nationality....British coming in at a close second. (Now, of course, Indian BRITS.....)
Gah sorry, just saw the name and assumed haha. And I completely agree Emma haha though I think British boys come before indian for me lol
If anyone has read Avalon High by meg cabot and loved it then you'll know why and what im talking about, I fell in utter love with Will and I just love the name Will!*sigh*
I think I'm probably one of the older members of the group too, but I do like a bit of YA fiction myself :) My fave fictional guy I'd have to say though is Jamie from the Outlander series, by Diana Gabaldon. He's passionate and adventurous and the love scenes between him and Claire are quite hot ;)
I would say currently I like the guys from Tamora Pierce's books best more specifically Neal its not a whole I am in love with him. I just wish he were real. I also really really love Seth from Wicked Lovely.
Fireheart223: My friend just gave me the first Outlander book to read and said she loves Jamie. What's your opinion of the book and do you think I'd enjoy it?
Steph, I've read the first Outlander book so far and I loved it! It's full of romance and adventure, the books are really long and to me it started off a little slow, but once it picked up I could hardly put it down! I'd say give the first book a try and see how you like it :)
Edmond Dantes from The Count of Monte Cristo is my choice for a favorite fictional guy. He goes from an innocent sailor to a dangerous man bent on revenge. However, there's still a tender side to him.
One of my favorite scenes is where he keeps a vigil over the daughter of the man who sent him to prison despite his innocence, so that she doesn't die from the poison that her step-mother insists on giving her.
Well, my favourite is Ron Weasley! He's my favourite fictional character! I just love him! Other HP guy faves: Lupin and Snape. But I like a lot more, too. From Pride and Prejudice... DARCY! I don't really like Twilight, but I love Jacob. From a book called Firedrake by Ann Ewan, I love Fletcher. From the Inheritance Cycle, I like Murtagh... and Roran, too. Landon from A Walk To Remember. I don't remember all of them. I usually like the funny or stumbling sidekicks, the tragic guys, the bad boys with soft sides or sad pasts... lol. I'm so "original".
Talking about accents and stuff? Irish! Lol.
haha. I tend to go for the joker or what would be refered to as the "class clown". Which is generally the side character like Ron :) Or the "prince" ya I am pretty typical too lol. I love british accents!!!
i love British accents too! there so pretty and flowing" in fact after reading the harry potter books so many times i find my self sayings stuff like "dunno" and a few others
my fav guy in a book is artemis fowl. he's my idol cuz he screws over everyone for money. that sounds really mean but he does it in such a "classy" way that it makes me like him a lot more
I have two, okay three. Make that four.Ian O'Shay (The Host), he's human. He has flaws. He's is not afraid to be wrong, and will change.
Jace (City of Bones/Ashes/Glass), he's nephilum. He's a not afraid to fight for what he believes
in. And he wears jammies.
And then there's Edward. He needs no explination.
Peeta (the Hunger Games), he is just human. And will do whatever he can to protect his girl. Even join the enemy.
WOW!!! you like Jace too!!!!! lol so do I, so much in common here^^ anyway....I like Jace in City of Bones,Ashes, and Glass and I like Cadel Piggott in Evil Genius(also in Genius Squad)
But I also love Avi in How to Ruin a Summer Vacation(also How to Ruin My Teenage Life)
Oh and also love the Vampires in brotherhood, well the series is called The Black Dagger Brotherhood.
I love how cocky Jace is. It is totally an act. I think he is just scared to let anyone in. He was taught that "love destroys". So I think he just tries to hide from it.
oh i am so with you on that one, Jace the brother of Clary...they don't look like brother and sister to me. But thats just me lol^^
Richard Grayson, hands down! (That whole thing with Kory was nonsense - she used her alien witchery on him, for sure!) Only please stop writing him as a manic ten-year-old. Geh.
I have a new favorite... Vayl from the Jaz Parks series.Once Bitten, Twice Shy
I almost like him as much as Edward, but it helps that my Twi books have not been in my posetion for the past month.
hmmm.... well i like EDWARD of course
Alexander Sterling from Vampire Kisses series
Jace from city of bones
Eric from the sookie stackhouse books
David from all american girl i think its called
Gabriel in blood and chocolate
David and Zane in the uglies series
and im pretty sure there is more lol
I haven't read the books but I love Eric on the show. Vayl has taken over Edward's spot as my fave guy. I would donate to him any day.
EDWARD! EDWARD! EDWARD! THERE IS NOOOOO CONTEST! HE'S PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! HE'S PROTECTIVE,SWEET, STRONG, GIVING, SEXY, TALL, MYSTERIOUS, TRUSTWORTHY, DIFFERENT, HOT, SMART, FATEFUL, AND LIKE I SAID SIMPLY PERFECT!
Here are my top three:-Frederick Garland from the Sally Lockhart Mysteries. The guy is amazing. A heroic character who balances being a detective/photographer/true love.
-Jace from from The Mortal Instruments series!!! Cocky, check. Hot, check. Brave, check. Witty, double check. This guy is too perfect. *sigh*
-Edward Cullen (you know what he's from) This piano playing, romantic, intelligent vampire is fantastic.
Ok I finished reading The Host last night....so Ian is awsome too
Jack from Blue Bloods
Luke or Lucas from Evernight
I just decided that Henry from the Luxe is my second fav, after edward. I think, I can't be positive though. They're both so great, but so different!
I have three more guys lol:Zane from The Kiesha'ra series (love him for taking chances and being happy)
Stanton from Daughters of the Moon series ( he's tough but has a soft side for love *sigh*)
Christopher in Shattered Mirrors
