Chicks On Lit discussion

Because I'm bored at work and have nothing else I want to do but cruise my favorite sites...

What are you all doing for the long weekend? My DH is going to a concert tonight and has to work part of the day tomorrow... I'll be hanging with my three year old watching movies and playing. After the boy goes to bed, I'm hoping to read and crochet. I also hope to squeeze in a run and do a LOT of grilling out.

A friend of mine is in town and I will see her tonight (it has been a while) and then she leaves. Tomorrow I am going to a garlic and herb festival, that should be a lot of fun. Then I am just chillin........

I'm going to clean and work in the yard. I know the exciting life I lead.

Our big plan for the weekend consists of getting an estimate for a fence and maybe driving to Canton to see the Football Hall of Fame. Oh boy. ;)

we're going to go look at the house we're moving to - get wedding bands - and then go to a friends cookout. and of course i have to fit cleaning and laundry into the mix at some point. lol.

I just made the drive from Austin to Dallas in record time! Hanging out with my parents for the weekend, celebrating my birthday with them (since they'll make a bigger deal out of it than my husband will), doing LOTS of grading since progress reports are going out Tuesday, and sewing a couple skirts.

Got my middle son and his g/f here visiting. We'll be grilling and chilling. I am reading and just enjoying the peace and not having to commute for a few days.

A cat funeral! Oh, pray for us. Our cat, butt-up, ran out in the road tonight, and this poor man didn't see him and... that's the end of our poor kitty. I havn't told my autistic son yet, that will happen in the morning. Josh will take this hard, he loves our animals. The man who hit him was beside himself, I had to comfort him. What a nice man.

I will be in Dallas with ya! I am driving this morning from Killeen (about 60 miles from Austin) to Dallas with 2 girlfriends and my daughter to go to the American Girl Store-- got a hotel so I could walk to the Galleria Mall--- haha-- It is going to be a GREAT weekend!

My husband is in Atlanta for a Con.. so I have the house to myself. Whee!! lol

Just means reading and lounging in the tub for me. :)

Thanks Maureen. It went better than I thought. We all talked about the good experiences with our cat and laughed and cried and today everybody is doing pretty well. Just keeping busy. Hope everybody's long weekend is going well!

I know this is a different long weekend than the original, but it just so happens that we're on Thanksgiving weekend here. :) Our plans consist of two great big family meals. One at my grandma's house, and the other at our place with my husband's family.
