I liked it a lot. The first season spun its wheels a lot. Once the threat of cancellation was there, it got really sharp. The DVD-only "Epitaph One" and then pretty much all of season two were fantastic.
It's worth watching through. I remember thinking the subject sounded really hokey and exploitative, but the big picture turned out far more interesting than I expected. Great cast, too.
Aww so jealous i have heard heaps of good stuff about it. and it apparently has alan tudyk from firefly..
A bunch of other actors from his stable pop in, including (sorry for character names, blanking on actors): Wesley, Fred, River, etc.
I didn't understand people not liking this one: I mean, I know everyone is different, but I found the show un-stop-watchable. Of course, I began at episode 6 on the advice of those who had watched it, so, I may have missed what turned people off.But ANY Firefly fan should see it, just to see Alan Tudyk be...well, I won't spoil if you haven't seen it.
I know I really really want to!!!! And there are a couple of people like Amy Acker and Alan of course who I really want to watch in something else Whedon.
I'm getting it soon. I have the all-region thing so I can watch it. Yah! I really want to watch it.
**Spoilers likely**I mentioned this in another thread...Dollhouse would have been better if it had started and stayed in the fast forward timeline after destruction. I think that is when it got really riveting. I was much more interested in everything all messed up then I was in the current timeline.
I own both seasons. Can't wait to watch them!
