1luvbooks What did you think of this book, and what was your favourite part? I personally really liked the romance, and I thought this book was really well written. It totally tugged at my heart, especially the ending. It was also quite disturbing! What do you guys think?

Janie I thought the book moved kind of slow at times, but the main story and concept were fine I suppose. The ending was good in the sense that the author didn't try to make it an against-all-odds sugar coated happily ever after, despite the "romance" in the book. But it was rather horribly depressing.

1luvbooks Agreed. I felt really low after I finished it.

Melissa **SPOILERS**

I also thought the ending was a bit disturbing; but I was happy at the outcome for Nia. It was sad to see Oscar's ending and how his father will continue to be the head honcho and spread his messages; and now Oscar thinks he was adopted!! =( so tragic!

Janie ***SPOILERS TOO***

But we're left with the first person brainwashed after a whole book/lifetime of resistance, a recovering girl (Nia) who will have to listen to Oscar's CDs for the rest of her life in order to stay sane out on her own in the big bad world, and nothing changing in Candor. Oscar's last words, something about part of him remaining through Nia was so sad.

Actually, I liked Oscar better than Nia, so therefore I wish he wasn't a tragic love-struck hero, saving her over himself. I would much rather had Oscar get out. Of course.

Melissa "As long as she remembers us, I'll still exist." TRAAAGIICCC!!

Melissa Me neither, but that quote ^^ right there...got me

1luvbooks Me too. I was so sad at the end....
especially the part where he was talking about Winston- my heart went out to Oscar then. It was a depressing ending, but then again, it was a dystopia!

Melissa so, so sad, but I really liked it

Nora Biron I didn't think all the ends were tied up. What was up with that "Biting Bird" thing??

Melissa refresh my memory, it's been a while since I read this =)

Lia i really wish their was a second book. with maybe Nia coming back and rescuing Oscar. the ending was one of the best i ever read! its kind of sad that not a lot of people have read this amazing book

Mercury so wishing there was a sequel because that ending was just too Horrible letting his Sick psycho father Continue to Brainwash people and also kill people

Rusty's Ghost Engine (also known as.......... Jinky Spring) I thought the ending was too depressing for a book with no sequel.

Vel I want to know the significance behind the whole "Birds, biting, birds" Thing. That was really weird. O.o

Fei K **SPOILER ALERT**

I personally loved the book- so tragic, but so romantic!! At first, Oscar's rudeness was getting to me, but as the book went on, I started loving him. I was sad about the ending, but it was beautiful in a depressing sort of way. I do wish there was a sequel though. I love Nia- so, so much!!! She is so unique and even in her brainwashed, slightly psychotic state, she has it in her to KISS him?! I loved that. It just felt so right and wrapped that up so well...

I do too! I'm so curious why they all seem to hallucinate about the same thing.
