Hi everyone so what do people think of firefly and its follow up movie serenity?

I watched Serenity first because I didn't know Firefly existed and I thought Serenity was really good. I borrowed Firefly a few days ago and have started watching it today. So far.... IT IS SOOOOO COOL! I love it. I borrowed the season collection edition so I have all of it on DVD. I really want to buy it because I would like to have my own copy, so that I don't have to give it back when I'm finished. It really is so cool. I love all the characters in it. Especially Nathan Fillion's character: Captain Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds.

I can't say enough good things about Firefly/Serenity. My husband and I absolutely love it. We watched the show when it was on TV and were really upset when they prematurely canceled it. We've since watched all the episodes and the movie at least twice, and are probably due for a re-watch soon. It's just such a unique show. There something for everyone: action, adventure, romance, great humor. It has a little of everything. The entire cast had amazing chemistry too. There's just nothing else like it.

Has anyone seen the episodes of Castle where Richard (Nathan Fillion) dresses up as Mal for Halloween? We haven't watched the show yet, but we saw that scene on the internet and thought it was absolutely hilarious.:-)

It is amazing though isnt it. Just every aspect of the show is carefully thought out and its one of the rare shows that we hardly ever see.

I too started with Serenity, and didn't know it had a show. I LOVE both, favorite movie and one of my favorite shows, but it's funny-watching the movie I was sad when a certain someone died, but it was okay. But after having seen the show I was like NOOOOOOOO! Joss The Bastard Whedon!

That the show was cancelled.

I was so mad when Firefly got cancelled. I knew it wouldn't last because neither westerns nor sci-fi shows do well on network television. But I still had hopes it would.

I loved Firefly. Bought it on DVD a few months ago. Can't stop watching it!

Firefly is a really great show. It definetly took me a second viewing to fully grasp it. My first time around I was too busy missing Buffy to really invest in it. But it is really great and a very sad premature cancellation.

I love the relates that they do in Castle, there has been a few. But that line from the holloween episode was classic..... Gee dad you got to get over it it was like 5 years ago.... Just great.
