Lorien Roleplay discussion

1. Keep cursing to a minimum. Sure, it's okay to spit out a few every now and then, but don't go dropping them every other post. And I don't want to see a single F-bomb, do you understand? Anyone who says that one shall be cast from this group without warning.

2. Please, for God's sake, be polite! We are all friends here, and even if we get into some arguments, it's all in good fun. Don't go cussing at other members, and please remember that opinions are just that: opinions. You can't judge someone for their opinion. Be friendly. Make everyone feel welcome.

3. Moderators rule. In time, I will be choosing x number of faithful moderators, but for now it's just me. You will listen to what i say. My word is law.

4. Follow the character guidelines carefully. I will be strict about accepting characters, and so you must really try your best.

5. Use proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. Come on, people. We're on a writing/reading site. You should know how to use grammar flawlessly for your age, and I know no one here is eight, so don't write like an eight year old. Most of my friends, if you hang around me enough, know that I am an English nazi and that improper spelling/grammar, etc. is the bane of my existence.

6. Do not powerplay in the roleplay. For some reason, I always feel the need to put this here. You all know what it is, and you'd better not do it.

What's powerplay????

We can't rush the rolplay. It isn't fair. Plus, you can't make your attack hit, you can only attempt it.
Powerplaying:
Lila posted: Trigger punched Sarah in the head and knocked her over. He threw punches at her face and arms, bruising her badly.
Ginger posted: Sarah had already run away though. She was standing at the opposing end of the room, smiling.
Real Roleplay:
Lila posted: Trigger aimed a punch to Sarah's head.
Ginger posted: Sarah ducked under, avoiding the attack.

See? That is powerplaying.

You also can't avoid every attack. You have to let your character get hit and then work out who will win with the other roleplayer.

Yep. I hate it when people refuse to even get hit because they think they're character is super awesome and wants everyone else to think how awesome this person's character is. I loathe that. Do it to me and I swear I will almost murder your character.

Oh, they'll have no choice. It'll all happen in one post, when they complain, I might snap and murder them, too.
