I went to a library booksale today and bought about 70 books for $10. I'm excited over all of the books I bought, but I'm most excited about finding , and !

@michelle- I wish my library had sales like that! That's an unbelievable deal, I envy you. My money would go so much further. Oh man I'm practically drooling just thinking about it. Lol

LOL!! The library was packed that between carrying them all around, and waiting in line to pay, I feel like I've had a work out!

Went to Borders today and found some clearance books that were buy 1 get 1 free:

How do you know you buy too many books? When you write a list of purchases you made THE DAY BEFORE and forget some books!

Either I buy too many books, or possibly I'm getting old and forgetful.

when you add the links you just choose cover instead of link its at the bottom of the little pop up window

Went to another Borders that was closing today and got a couple of deals. , . It took me an hour to find the last one Mermaid by Carolyn Turgeon.

When you say "choose cover instead of link at the bottom of the pop up window", how am I seeing this? I've been doing links by following the goodreads html (is that right?) suggestions -- am I just doing it completely wrong?

At the end of the day, it probably doesn't matter whether I use titles or covers, right? The covers just add a bit of pizzazz!

When you say "choose cover instead of link at the bottom of..."

just press add book/author. then the pop-up window will show. in the bottom there are two choices one for link and one for cover. so just shift to cover and you should be all set to play with the cool kids.

the worst thing about this thread is actually seeing other members purchases because you are bound to get curious. and you end up buying more books it's a vicious circle. I know I was bad but I just had to keep looking so ended up buying 5 more books because I totally forgot about them and just stumbled upon them and the most reasonable thing to do is to buy! so a little addition to my previous post:

I had no intention of buying any books this month since I got the entire Dark Hunter series last month and Mt. TBR isn't getting any smaller.

However, on the 1st I found myself wandering into Borders and picked up and for $1.99 a piece. Then I went to the used book store and found and .

As I was about to leave, I noticed a shelf of books marked for $.25 and wound up with , , and .

So, my will was weak but I spent less than $20. I consider it a win.

when I just stumbled upon amazon this morning I wasn't looking to buy anything until I saw the price. then I just wanted to see how must cheaper it would be then ordering from adlibris. so when the price came up I was SOLD!

I ordered Fortune's Wheel yesterday and will be getting it (hopefully) tomorrow. . .and I haven't bought it yet, but I will be buying Queen By Right: A Novel at the end of the week when it comes out

Not off to a bad start this month. :P I went to an antique mall this week without intentions of buying anything for myself and of course found several books, but I did put a few back that I intended to buy! So these were $20.



I also ordered/received these from Barnes and Noble. These were new and considerably more expensive. :X

Isn't it ones nature that if you ban something then you are more likely to want it? I never ban myself from buying books, but I'll try to limit myself or ask myself if it can wait, but I don't do it too often. :D

Had to order from different places...Amazon had some while BT had others. God amazon and their shipping is horrible to Australia.

I had placed 16 books in my cart and it was going to cost $65 for standard shipping...No thanks!
