How do you know you buy too many books? When you write a list of purchases you made THE DAY BEFORE and forget some books!

Either I buy too many books, or possibly I'm getting old and forgetful.

Or both.

Thank you for the help, Melanie! Could I try your patience just a bit and ask for more?

When you say "choose cover instead of link at the bottom of the pop up window", how am I seeing this? I've been doing links by following the goodreads html (is that right?) suggestions -- am I just doing it completely wrong?

At the end of the day, it probably doesn't matter whether I use titles or covers, right? The covers just add a bit of pizzazz!

message 23: by Jersey (new)

LOVE it so far...

just press add book/author. then the pop-up window will show. in the bottom there are two choices one for link and one for cover. so just shift to cover and you should be all set to play with the cool kids.

so I just bought:

Choker by Elizabeth Woods The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger Ascension (Dark Breed, #1) by Sable Grace Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. eventhough I promised my boyfriend not to buy anymore. We really don't have space. shit. sorry but my "book sense" was tingling

message 26: by Nadine (new)

Nadine @ Sofie: Wow some nice picks (although you were bad, bad, bad)and so was I, your pst led me to find out what some of the books are about and I just had to order Divergent along with Delirium, which had been waiting on my Amazon list...

message 27: by Sofie (last edited May 03, 2011 04:29AM) (new)

Sofie (paulli) | 11 comments the worst thing about this thread is actually seeing other members purchases because you are bound to get curious. and you end up buying more books it's a vicious circle. I know I was bad but I just had to keep looking so ended up buying 5 more books because I totally forgot about them and just stumbled upon them and the most reasonable thing to do is to buy! so a little addition to my previous post:
Spud by John van de Ruit Lockdown (Escape From Furnace, #1) by Alexander Gordon Smith Bumped (Bumped, #1) by Megan McCafferty Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1) by Paolo Bacigalupi Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
so who's bad?

message 28: by A book away from an episode of hoarders (last edited May 03, 2011 07:27AM) (new)

A book away from an episode of hoarders (fidgit77) | 45 comments I had no intention of buying any books this month since I got the entire Dark Hunter series last month and Mt. TBR isn't getting any smaller.

However, on the 1st I found myself wandering into Borders and picked up Fade (Dream Catcher, #2) by Lisa McMann and Runner (Jane Whitefield, #6) by Thomas Perry for $1.99 a piece. Then I went to the used book store and found In Their Footsteps / Thief Of Hearts by Tess Gerritsen and The Stranger Beside Me Ted Bundy The Shocking Inside Story by Ann Rule .

As I was about to leave, I noticed a shelf of books marked for $.25 and wound up with Taken (Harlequin Nocturne, #106) by Lilith Saintcrow , Incubus (Harlequin Nocturne, #104) by Janet Elizabeth Jones , Last Wolf Hunting (Blood Runners, #2) (Harlequin Nocturne, #38) by Rhyannon Byrd and Stroke of Midnight (Includes Dark-Hunter, #5.1; Vampire Huntress Legends #3.5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon .

So, my will was weak but I spent less than $20. I consider it a win.

Have you read Time Traveler's Wife yet? It's one of my all time favourites -- I've actually been wanting quite a few on your list!

Thanks for the help!

I also ordered/received these from Barnes and Noble. These were new and considerably more expensive. :X

Isn't it ones nature that if you ban something then you are more likely to want it? I never ban myself from buying books, but I'll try to limit myself or ask myself if it can wait, but I don't do it too often. :D
