I read Talker and Talker's Redemption on Monday. Both really excellent books. I'd love to see these two released in a single edition. They really belong together.

I went on a small Amy Lane spree and just read The Locker Room, Talker, and the sequel to Talker, Talker's Redemption. I liked them in that order, too. I'm a big sports nut, so The Locker Room really resonated with me. That's an extremely romantic story!
I'm all for the two Talker books being offered together, possibly with number three? because I breezed through them and read them both in one evening.
In the past, I also enjoyed Amy's If I Must, partly because I know nerds just like Ian!

I just finished The locker room as well. I loved it, but so far I haven't met an Amy Lane book I didn't like.

So is Christmas with Danny Fit.
I also just read The Locker Room and loved it. It put me in an "Amy" mood, so I re-read Keeping Promise Rock, which is one of my favorite m/m romances of all time. Her characters are often damaged, but also quietly heroic and very real. I also read Kate Sherwood's Shying Away at the beginning of the month. She is another favorite and I loved the emotional depth of the character protrayals in the book. I will also admit to a weakness for horses. I am about 2/3 of the way through Mary Calmes's Change of Heart and thoroughly enjoying it. I've read a number of Mary's books and yet it just struck me today that one of the things I love about her writing is that you can learn a lot about her first-person POV protagonists with almost no stream-of-consciousness rely on. Their actions and her wonderfully snappy dialogue tell you all you need to know if you're paying attention. Plus her protags are so damn lovable.
I've continued my Amy Lane binge in the last few days with Truth in the Dark and If I Must. (And I picked up Litha's Constant Whim free yesterday. Yay!) I liked If I Must a lot. It reminded me in a very general way of Talker. And yesterday I read Making His List, which fit a surprising amount of emotion in a relatively small package.
So far this month from Dreamspinner I have read: The Ghost on My Couch (which I've wanted to read since I read the blurb in the coming soon section), The Locker Room- which I loved because it was a great book & I pretty much love everything by Amy Lane, One Marriage and Three Weddings & Gifts of the Season- which are set in the same world and I picked them up because I really like the last thing I read by this author and they were ok. I feel like we missed a lot of details of the men in the story.I'm currently reading Life After Death. So far I've finished the first part of the book, but the second isn't grabbing me and I've been reading a paragraph here & there all day. Maybe if I just sit and really start it would be better. I think after the last book I just don't want to read about Roan moving on or thinking of moving on or thinking about thinking about moving on. I want him to wallow like I am. Unrealistic & it would be totally boring to read about, but there it is!
This month I read wonderful stories, and I'm sure some of them I will read them all over again, I recommend them all.The Ghost on My Couch by L.A. Gilbert eBook one the funniest, cute story I ever read.

I just finished 7 Days by Andrew Grey. It is a lovely book. Shed a few tears of sympathy and of joy over it. Also in May to date: This Rough Magic by the always excellent Josh Lanyon, Some Kind of Magic by R. Cooper, which I enjoyed very much after I got used to its rather odd structure, and Wolf Moon by Ethan Stone, which is a very entertaining book with vivid characters and a unique take on werewolf culture.

(You're right - it doesn't make for compelling reading, which is why I made the time jump.)
Also, the second story of the book, Hysteria, was one of my personal favorites to write. But I don't know if that reads better or not, it was just fun for me to do.

I re-read Truth in the Dark and Hammer & Air. I don't think I'll ever get over how painful and marvelous those books are.
