Wow is right! The whole series made me a bit crazy for a while.
Completed Tasks: MayProm and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg 5/6/11
Points Earned this month: 2

Loved this modernization of Pride and Prejudice!!!!
I also just finished Dark Goddess by Sarwat Chadda. This book is definitely awesome. It is a sequel to The Devil's Kiss! I really enjoyed this book about the Knight's Templar. The protagonist is Billi SanGreal, the daughter of the head of the Knights (who, of course, is named Arthur). Previously Billi has been forced to kill the Oracle she loved, and in this sequel is faced with the same dilemma -- only this Oracle is a little girl of 9 yrs. old. Sarwat Chadda is a worthy writer.

Does the book have to be a particular length?

Kellee - it was a lot slower than I was expecting but a lot more believable than I've read in a while. So I liked it for that aspect.
Kristen wrote: "Kellee - it was a lot slower than I was expecting but a lot more believable than I've read in a while. So I liked it for that aspect."As believable as Life as we Knew it? Apocalyptic books really scare me...
Not as scary, it takes place a few months after the reactions/plague/etc so you miss a lot of the chaos and fear that you see in Life as We Knew It.
A - Adventures of a Bird-Shit Foreigner by Sulayman XThis is a really disturbing book and VERY hard to find.
I don't know how many points I have.
Kristen wrote: "Not as scary, it takes place a few months after the reactions/plague/etc so you miss a lot of the chaos and fear that you see in Life as We Knew It."Hm... The fear is usually what does it for me with post-apocalyptic books.... What makes it so interesting?

Intrigue for me.. although the book left a lot of questions open. I think I just enjoyed the realism and characters mostly. :)

Welcome back Brandi :)
Thanks! I had to read so many books from reading lists for school book talks, that it was just a matter of coincidence to find one that fit the criteria. Hopefully I'll be able to get back in the game now!

I am Percy-biased, so... I haven't liked Lost Hero or Red Pyramid as much as Percy. :) However, everything Riordan does is so good and Red Pyramid is no different.
Oh and btw book 5 is PHENOMENAL!! Enjoy :)
