How exactly does this work?

I think that the theme or moral of the story is that you should be nice to people because you never know when it can come back for you. In the beginning, Alex Said that he liked to bully the weaker kids and steal their money. Eventually, he moved on to robbing houses, which is why he was in that house when he was framed for toby’s murder. If he didn't bully those kids he would not have been in that house. If he wasn’t there he would not have been framed.
