I think all of us afflicted with the love to read obsession share your same problem. When you are passionate about something...you like to spend every moment doing it. or talking about it.. :-)You are not alone!
Same here:) I have little free time to read and yet I find myself spending too much of it here in GR rather than actually reading the books I'm discussing, lol!
Oh boy, you don;t know how many times I am on here and thinking to myself, "I could be reading""! but here I sit!

Oh, I couldn't agree more! Here it is, almost 1:00 am and I'm on Good Reads instead of "getting to bed"!I love it here!!!

I used to spend a lot of time on GRs (hours every day), but I don't have access at work anymore, and not as much time in the evening, so I'm not on here nearly enough.
When I first joined GR, I must admit I became quite addicted spending hours on here. In fact, I spent more time on GR than actually reading. Now I have a better balance and spend more time reading!
I am trying, I'm limiting my groups, even though I want to join a ton of them, but that takes time to read all the updates and the new posts as well. I hope I find a balance soon!
I spend a lot of time @ GR rather than reading. Case in point, I take time posting about the books I read for a challenge when I could have spent reading a book during that time. Plus, I check the psots, update my books, etc. Yeah, GR DOES take time that I could have spent reading.

I thought maybe another group was stealing your time! That stinks about work, I'm sorry.

Oh, so glad my phone doesn't do that, and please don't tell me how to get it to do that either! I'd never get any work done at work!
Lol.Ps: I'm on my phone right now about to go to bed.i had to check the notifications ^_^.it's really easy.i shall show you hehehe j/k xxcxx
I know how to check the notifications from my phone, and I get the emails, but I don't need it to chime every time, or I'd get fired! Lol! Bad enough I check it when I'm bored, which is often enough!
Heidi: do you have internet on your phone? Of so, then synchronize your GR REGISTERED email and your phone will alert you when you have received a new email or notification.or you can download the gr app if you have an iphone or android phone.you get status updates .
I try very hard not to check it while working, but sometimes I get bored and have to do something to break up the monotony!

How many of you spend just as much time, if not more on Goodreads vs. reading? I am finding myself on here for an hour or more sometimes in the evenings (not able to check very often from work) and by the time I get dinner done, do a little cleaning, and Goodreads, lol, I've run out time to read, but refuse to not read, and end up reading until midnight! Just wondering, some of you post a lot, and I love reading it all, but wonder how you have time to read too!!
