I'd probably have to say something in Summer Flame, most likely when Steel found and released the Solamnic prisoners. And everything following it.
I think that the Ergoth Trilogy are very underrated. Ergoth and Chronicles are my favorite trilogies. My favorite stand alone book would have to be Legend of Huma.Tolanthus in the Ergoth trilogy finding out the woman he loved was conniving... Also, the Raistlin/Fistandantilus thing in Legends.
Thanks, Aaron! Glad you enjoyed Huma!I love the scene at the climax of the Legends trilogy, where we see the fate of Raistlin as he faces Takhisis (yeah, another Raistlin fan).

Thank you for taking the time to respond Mr Knaak! You are one of the few authors that I will be pursuing when I complete the DL books, the Dragonrealm books have piqued my interest.
I appreciate that, Aaron. The DR omnibuses have proven very popular and have led to a new Dragonrealm novel. You might also like Dragon Mound, first in a new original trilogy and out in October.(End of commercial)
I have quite a few scenes, but I think the scene that moved me the most was in "Dragons of Summer Flame" when Raistlin comes back from the Abyss and asks Caramon to forgive him. That reminds me of why he's my favorite character in the first place. Raistlin still has feelings, even if they are very hard to get to.One of my favorite books is "Brothers in Arms". I think Margaret wrote all of the Raistlin scenes exquisitely.
I would agree with Aaron. My favorite book would have to be Legend of Huma. The scene at the end when he and the dragon transform into platinum attire is pretty awesome. Just a shame that Takhisis goes against Her word after he spares Her the agony of the lance. Also very tragic love between him and Gwyeneth.
Favorite book: Dragons of Winter Night. First time I read it, oh so long ago, I couldn't put it down... finished it in a day (which is fast for me!)Favorite scene: Tas says goodbye to Flint in Dragons of Spring Dawning... heartbreaking.
For me Autumn twilight was one of the first adult book i've ever read. I just finished one of Brian Jacques books and read autumn twilight. My favorite scene was the first scene in the book where Tas Flint, and Tanis meet up after 5 years of being apart. That scene will always stay with me.The Runner up was at the end of" Summer flame when Tas and Flint meet after they died.
To be frank, there are a lot of fantastic scenes in both Chronicles and Legends. Picking a favorite is for me like picking my favorite food. Do I like pizza, ribs, or Mongolian Beef best, to name a few? :)And thanks for your kind comment, John!
My facorite book so far from what I have read is Legend of Huma, which really surprised me since I am not a huge fan of the Solamnic Knights. I just didn't think I would like a book with a knight as a main character.
My favorite scene though, hmmm, that is so hard since there are so many good ones. I am gonna have to say the scene in Summer Flame when Tas and Flint meet again after they have both died. They are two of my favorite characters! Though in Autumn Twilight Fizban has one of the best character introductions I have read in any book!

I take that as a great compliment, then, Kristen! Thank you!And definitely a good scene from Summer Flame!
By the way,to everyone, there are a couple of Giveaways involving the first novel in my new trilogy. Go to my Goodreads page and join as a fan for a chance at an autographed copy. That one is worldwide. Look up Dragon Mound to find the official Giveaway for four copies, which is for US, Canada, GB, and Australia. Both close Sep. 15th!
You are most welcome, Richard! =)
Oh! I just remembered about some scenes from the Legends trilogy. There were a few good ones but I really liked a couple in particular; when Raistlin and Crysania are alone in the forest and he throws her away and scratches at his face - I like it because it gives a more in depth look at the struggle Raistlin is going through within himself. As well as when they come upon the small village that was taken by the plague and Raistlin uses magic to burn the bodies. I think they are great displays of Raistlin's character!

My favorite scene is the battle between Raistlin and Fistandatilus. Raistlin exacts his revenge on the very being who was the cause of his lifelong physical suffering (no spoiler here).
Anything with Tas gets my vote. Brings a different side to adventuring that makes the read more enjoyable. A great race the Kender. You can't go far wrong with the Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Can it be topped?
My favorite will always be the Dragons of the Hourglass Mage because Raistlin kicked Fistandantilus's butt.
Tas definitely plays a major role in most of my favorite scenes. When Flint passes is a heartwrenching scene and is a moment in the chronicles that will always stand out for me.
Hard to say, but the best book has to be Dragons of Autumn Twilight. The friendship and fellowship, especially between Tanis and Sturm, is an element that I enjoyed. Of course most of the books have been great so you can't go too wrong with any of them. But the first one just has that little something extra (maybe because it is new and lays the groundwork for everything that follows).
I don’t recall which book it was specifically in the Dragons Trilogy, but when Sturm died, I was fairly impacted by that event in the story. I picked the Dragons Trilogy up when I was around 12 or 13 (1991 timeframe). I loved the entire trilogy and went on to read every major book in the Dragonlance saga. But to this day, when I see the book on the shelf, I still think about Storms death and how genuinely saddened I was at the time reading it.

As for me, I can't really decide. I'll probably stick to the beginning of Dragons of the Autumn Twilight, right when Flint and Tanis meet after 5 years of not seeing each other. Or maybe when Fizban takes Tas with him in Dragons of the Winter night. :)
