The County Library discussion

I didn't get a chance to get the bookclub poll out on time, so I made an executive decision and chose Water for Elephants. I picked it because of lot of us have read and loved it and the movie version is in the theaters right now. So what did you think of the book? If you've seen the movie, did you think they did a good job? I wasn't going to see it because I haven't liked Robert Pattinson since he died in Harry Potter 4, but Barbara said he did a pretty good job in WFE. So maybe I'll just have to go see it.

I really enjoyed the book and it is one of the top fiction books I recommend.
In terms of the movie, my father liked it and said it held pretty true to the book. I had another friend say that Reese Witherspoon didn't do too well in her role.
I still want to see the movie!

I didn't enjoy this book. I was a little disappointed. I thought the story was mostly just sad. I know I seem to be in the minority on this one though.

I definitely had that feeling as I read it. However, I felt that the ending was more happy. I was glad to see that he felt some type of reuniting feeling with Marlena.

I just joined the group, so posting way after the fact. Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this book, certainly one that I recommend often.
