I didn't get a chance to put out the bookclub poll this time, so I made an executive decision and chose The Ring. This is a great teen novel by SLCLS librarian Bobbie Pyron, and maybe we can get her to make a few comments. She actually has a newer book out as well, so check out A Dog's Way Home too!

Bobbie Pyron | 1 comments Hi All!
I'm Bobbie, the author of The Ring! I'm thrilled you'll be reading my book soon. I look forward to some great discussion on bullying, stereotypes, boxing, and being true to yourself. I'll answer any questions you might have :)

Katie | 17 comments Um is anyone up for reading 2 books in one month for the teen online discussions? I have a lot more time (no school) and I'm through The Ring already.

Bobbie Pyron | 4 comments Hi Katie! Bobbie here, author of The Ring. Hope you enjoyed it! If you go on my website, you can actually see a trailer for the book. I'm also a librarian at the Holladay library. What kinds of books do you like to read? I'd be happy to pass along some suggestions. I love teen fiction!

Suzanne | 11 comments I really liked this book. It accurately conveys that teenage feeling of angst and the frustration that the adults feel. I liked the characters and cared about what happened to them.

Bobbie Pyron | 4 comments Thanks Suzanne! I'm glad you cared about the characters. That's what authors strive for. BTW, I bet some of you don't know that women's boxing will, for the first time ever, be an official sport at the next Summer Olympics!
