There’s always been something a bit off about Perry Palomino. Her uncle’s haunted lighthouse provides the perfect catalyst and backdrop for a mystery that unravels the threads of Perry’s fragile sanity and causes her to fall for a man, who, like the most dangerous of ghosts, may not be all that he seems.

i liked it. but i'm still on the fence about how dex treats perry like shit and she does nothing but obsess about him.

Oooooh, I really liked this book!
Dex is a jerk, and I still dont know if I like him or not... I m reading the 3rd book (or trying to, since is freaking scaring and I cant seem to finish it), and while his behaviour sometimes gets better, he still has his incredible jerk moments.
But, overall, I really like Perry and I m really thrilled to see the extent of her abilities.

I loved all the books in this series waiting for book 6 to come out. Book 5 I did not put down until I was done. Dex can be a real jerk but he and Perry belong together.

Dex may come off as a jackass, but if you really get into his character you will understand. This is one of the best series I have read in a long time. Dex and Perry are made for each other. Karina Halle is amazing.

This is my favorite series ever. I love Dex and Perry and I'm getting ready to read Into the Hollow. I personally think Dex is very intriguing and sexy and Perry is just hilarious. I love Karina Halle's writing. I'm reading her other book The Devil's Metal right now, and so far it's good.

I like the book, the ideas and Perry alot, I liked Dex at moments but I couldn't believe the author has him use the word 'tard' - that was just bad bad taste.

I just finished this book and I will say that it alone got me out of my reading rut. Dex isn't necessarily my kind of hero, but I love the character, flaws and all. And I see why Perry is fascinated by him.

Women (and men) obsess all the time over people that treat them like shit. lol, it's more natural than falling for someone who "woo's" you.

I love all the books I could not find anything I liked and just picked this series out and can't put them down very edge of the seat kind of books that can keep you interested and scared. Karina Halle is an awesome writer and I thank her for getting me back to reading.

I used to dislike Dex. After reading all 6 books and the Dex files... I really do love this series. Although the most recent book, Into the Hollow wasn't as satisfying I look forward to the 7th!! :D

I love this books! I was always on team Perry till Into the hollow then switched to team Dex. He seems kind of like a jerk until Dex files explains it a little more. Then Into the Hollow the tables turn and Perry is the mean one. If anyone has any recommendations on books like this one let me know.

I love this series of books and can't wait for the next one...Halle rocks!

I was reading Medium by CJ Archer when Darkhouse was recommended. Turned out to be a really good trilogy.
