Black Ops.

All day, all night.

help me

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm looking forward to the Batman: Arkham City and the next Gears of War game.

And of course, the next CoD game.

Diane ~Firefly~ | 28 comments I don't have anything new to recommend as I've been on a tight budge lately, but here are some of my favorites. If you want to look me up, my gamertag is Firefly Faerie

Death Spank and Death Spank: Thongs of Virtue if you like a lot of humor in your action games.

Dragon Age: Origins - great RPG.

Fable and Fable II - really good RPGs.

Overlord - because it is fun being the bad guy and who doesn't want minions?

A Kingdom for Kelflings and A World of Kelfings - both fun little games where your avatar helps out these small people by building what they need and directing their work.

Torchlight is on my shortlist to buy eventually

Pretty much second everything Ala said. Altus Bellator is my gamer tag should anyone care to add me :)

message 6: by Grant (new)

Grant (grantly) | 3 comments I was obsessed with Black Ops, but teaching became too demanding and I had to back off for awhile. I've also been playing through DA 2 to bide some time, but I'm really waiting for GOW 3 and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. My gamertag is grantly2.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha :). That's only one of the reasons I gave up teaching, Grant :)

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, CoD games tend to stay around the 50 range until the next one is about to ship, then they drop like stones.

Also, I don't have any of the map packs, so...yeah.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

No map packs!? Crazy talk. I take it you don't play zombies then?

message 12: by whimsicalmeerkat (new)

whimsicalmeerkat | 0 comments zombies? where?!

message 13: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (breakofdawn) Oh god, no. Not the zombies. We have Black Ops for PS3, my husband is addicted to the zombie section.

INSTAKILL!

I don't have Black Ops....

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

I honestly don't care for the zombies mode in any game. Or any multiplayer mode where it's the players against the AI.(Co-op campaign I enjoy, though).

I enjoy the fun of going against actual people, outplaying and outkilling them. Camping a spot then moving on so they never know where you are. Repeatedly shooting them in the face with a gratis teabag afterwards until they ragequit.

Mmmmmmm so nice, their tears.

*note: I actually suck at this game

*note: acquire killstreak rewards.

You are not alone, I still don't have Black Ops either and don't know that I ever will. The only game I really play on the Xbox is Red Dead Redemption...something very gratifying about running around killing small furry critters then skinning them or wasting a whole town just for jollies.

My gamer tag is UptightKrakken (seriously, lol) if you wanna add me.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Finally got around to Portal 2, and now that's all I'm playing.

message 20: by Amanda (new)

Amanda M. Lyons (amandamlyons) Todd had Black Ops and loved it for about a month and then he hated it because he started to notice the flaws. He hated the campaign story because it wasn't logical and jumped around too much, the gameplay got old quick for him, and the multiplayer was SSDD. He said that it was more of the same shooter format. In game there were key animations missing from weapons, bad historical referencing and it just wasn't as Modern Warefare 2.

message 21: by Leland (new)

Leland (lelandhw) I'm working through Red Dead Redemption. I know. Day late Dollar short. Again. LOL

I don't play multiplayer games, but my gamertag is Sezwee if you have space on your friend list you're dying to fill. :D

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Has anyone here tried Brink yet?

I keep thinking about it, but not sure if it's worth it.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Heh, figures it'd be buggy. The gameplay they were going for lends itself to being buggy as hell, probably laggy too.

Also, if anyone wants the Portal 2 soundtrack, you can get it free today:

Will try to download it later my broadband seems quite slow.
By the way has anyone else played Crackdown 2? It started well, then it seems to lose its grip...

Diane ~Firefly~ | 28 comments Nicki wrote: "I'm always in the day late, dollar short queue with multiplayer games since I rarely buy them on day of release. Actually I rarely buy any games on day of release. The only things I'm doing that with this year are LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (and naturally, my pre-orer got lost in the post -- still, I'm in the Netherlands for another week and a half, so it's not like I can play it!), Alice: Madness Returns and Skyrim...."

I'll be picking up Lego:Pirates sometime in the next week or so. I always have fun with the Lego games.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Never played Crackdown, it just never interested me.

And I haven't played a Lego game since the Star Wars ones, but loved 'em.

It's not that great, it falls into the after the pub category, that is you can pick up and play it as and when suits, but fails to really hook you.

The first Indy game is my favorite Lego one so far, with Harry Potter in a close second.

message 33: by Leland (new)

Leland (lelandhw) I liked the batman and the first indy game. Haven't finished Harry Potter yet, but like it so far. Star Wars also not my favorite in the Lego franchise...but it's fine.

message 34: by Stuart (new)

Stuart (asfus) | 98 comments I confess I have snuck back onto my PS3 to play Final Fantasy 13, which in turns I love and hate.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Traitor

message 36: by Amanda (new)

Amanda M. Lyons (amandamlyons) Have any of you guys played Lucidity? I'm partway into and I suspect the plot is going to get pretty dark. Its kinda like the brighter sister of Limbo.

Nikki loves Lego Batman but isn't as big a fan of the star wars one we got him. He likes the demo for the Pirates game however.

crap, almost forgot Microsofts E3 Conference was today.

So far, there's been a splash-screen for Halo4, footage of CoD:MW3(which looks awesome), a Tomb Raider prequel game, some EA Sports crap, and now ME3(with Kinect stuff, which seems pretty cool).

eta: ghost recon with kinect stuff. holy crap this looks all kinds of wtfawesome.

Grant, you can customize weapons. There's something like 20million combinations. I think you might like this.
If Peter Molyneioooo shows up and starts talking about Fable 3, I'm going to kill someone.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow that sounds freaking Awesome. Haven't played Ghost Recon in ages

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

It looked bad ass when he was demoing it. It was like an exploded view of a weapon, and you could change out all the components and whatnot.

They didn't show much in-game, though. Except the firing range where he was testing out the customized weapons.

But it looked like something you'd probably find hundred of hours of fun with.

Also: they've announced a bunch of kinect games, GoW3 looks like fun, Kinect Star Wars is probably going to suck, Fable 3(shut up, MOLINEWWWWWW! I hate you), Forza, Xbox TV stuff(might be cool) and Halo1 remake.

Still waiting for the Halo 4 info...

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Mw3 trailer is badass..... *sigh*. I need more weapons

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Ahh, MW3....

The part they demo'd was kickass. Exploding a sub, then a firefight into it, then a boat race to get the hell out of dodge as hellfire rained down upon them.

Can't wait for it!

Also, Halo 4 set to be out 'Holiday 2012'. Looks like it's picking up right where 3 left off.

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Just watched some more MW3 stuff.

Dual sights looks nice. Guy had a red-dot then a flip-up ACOG as well. If that's in multiplayer, and you can use other sights as well, things will be interesting :P

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

oh crap, Battlefield 3 too?

This is going to be a damn good fall for gaming

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

I feel all lonely up in here....

need more gamers

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol..sorry bro, work beckoned. You're gonna have to start getting online Friday nights so we can own the Black Ops world in preparation for MW3....just saying

message 48: by Amanda (new)

Amanda M. Lyons (amandamlyons) The E3 trailers had Nikki, Todd and I all very excited :). Ryse, Skyrim, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet looked great :)

message 49: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 06, 2011 04:20PM) (new)

I'll try and get on Friday nights, those are usually busy though.

Ryse looked interesting, Skyrim not so much. But I'm not an Elder Scrolls person.

Future Soldier better be as sick as it looks.

The EA conference was retarded. Need for Speed, only this time with running? Madden:Yearly update? FIFA? pffft.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

Overstrike looks interesting. But that guy reminds me of Jay Leno.
