Immortals After Dark discussion

I'm hoping that the Lothaire book will get a better title along with the better cover we've been promised. The covers have been getting better with each book, in my opinion.

I think Bowen looks like some kind of homeless beggar on the cover of WDoaWN. From installment #7 (KotDK) on through #11 (DoaDW) they've been delicious. It's hard to choose but I think the cover of Kiss of the Demon King is my favorite. Even though that's not one of my favorite books, that cover just makes me go all melty inside. lol.

Andrea, I totally agree that Bowen looks twisted on the "Wicked Deeds..." cover. Not good. Also, it drives me nuts that Cade's hair is black on his cover when he is clearly described as "tawny-haired" in "Dark Desires..."

Big fan of the black-and-white torso shots, particularly Malkom's on "Demon from the Dark." Or maybe Garreth (love Garreth!) because the tied-up wrists is kinda sexay hottt.

I don't like the "Lothaire" cover, unfortunately. The cover model (Paul Marron) is awesome (esp. on JRW's "Lover Avenged"), but on this cover, I intensely dislike the bangs. Would much rather have more black-and-white torso man candy.

Audrey, Malkom is hunk-a-licious on that cover. I'd like to see more of Lothaire's torso too. I'll have to look up that other cover.The bangs startled me too. I thought he'd been described as having long hair pulled back in a queue and I thought it would all be back off his face. But I can live with that face.

I wonder how a man gets chosen to be a romance book cover model. I suppose they're recruited from modeling agencies for the most part. But I knew an author once who talked an man she met at a book fair into posing for the cover of her upcoming book. She said he looked exactly as she'd pictured him. lol!

I agree with you that the latter covers are better. I don't have anything against the Lothaire cover, but I can see your reasoning.

hmmm lets see I liked (that's one verra sexy man on that cover). the cover just fit the book so well I kept imagining that was Murdoch traveling through the snow to get to his Danii.
Another good cover I pictured Malkom with this type of body, it really helped my uhhh reading *clears throat* yeah my reading ;)

I loved all the cover but my fav is Declans book cover

I think has the best cover, I don't like the more recent ones, mainly because I get the rubbish UK ones that look a lot like the Sookie covers! I do like the old corny ones though, I have a special affection for them!

I love all the covers except for Dark Desires After Dust which is a shame because Cadeon's story is one of my favorites. My favorite of the covers has to be . I can stare at that face for a long time and those red eyes...sigh

I've seen it, multiple times leading up to the release of the novel, and love it.

Agree! He is so popular in the world of romance novels. I have several books with him on the cover and I didn't realize until recently.

It's so weird, even when I go grocery shopping I see paperbacks near the cash register with Paul Marron in the cover and I smile...I feel like I know him...LOL

Was checking out Jeaniene Frost's website and apparently he's on the cover for Once Burned. So no exclusivity.
