My name is Gregory M. Thompson, the author of Nightcry. I'm hear to answer questions for the next few weeks about...pretty much anything you want to ask me. I have been writing for over 20 years in all kinds of genres and formats including plays, screenplays and poetry!

Jennifer Bonges What screenplays have you written? Do you find writing screenplays helps your writing of stories, in particular plot?

I have Nightcry on my Kindle. I can't wait to read!

Jennifer,

I have written many screenplays. Nothing major. One script is still in production from 2 years ago, lol. You can view a couple of short films the producers posted on Youtube.

I just sold a short script earlier this month and it's in production right now.

I think writing screenplays did help me in some aspects of fiction writing. With plot, they help keep storylines on point and help keep the flow consistently moving, if that makes sense. The biggest help I attribute screenplay writing is with dialogue. With scripts you have to keep lines real and tight. No room for extra words and that translates well into fiction writing. I get many readers complimenting me on my realistic dialog and speech and interactions between characters. I have nothing to do with that...I credit screenplay writing :)

Thanks for purchasing Nightcry...hope you enjoy!
