Rob (zarify) I was trawling through the new bits in RPGs and so forth and it struck me that NOONE had mentioned Planescape: Torment, possibly one of the best RPGs of all time (I'm looking at you, The Future).

If you haven't played it, and you enjoyed stuff like Baldur's Gate, then go get it and play it. Now. I know this is a reading group, but it's Important.

The writing is just superb (with 'haunting' being another good adjective I'd use), the gameplay is very nice indeed, and the replayability for different play styles is there too (not shoehorned into a particular role that often). There haven't been many games where I was left with a real emotional connection to the characters, but this is definitely one of them.

(Also they make tails seem sexy)

...now I feel like going and playing it again. I wonder where my disks are.

I played it and thought it very good game indeed. My only gripe is that you could not customise your character.

Kevin | 284 comments This is a game I've always wanted to play, but never gotten around to for some reason. I'm planning on getting it off Good Old Games as soon as I'm done with The Witcher 2 though.
