Oh sweet! Thanks Josh!!!
Yeah, we should plan the next one... Oh Gosh, June is such a crazy month! But with this HJD challenge thingy, I could use the time, even with a week of vacation thrown in there.
Actually, I can do Saturday the 4th or Sunday the 5th, though I'm not sure if I'll have a RL crit group meeting on the 5th, I'll know tomorrow. If not, the whole day is free for me! Do either of those dates work for anyone else?

I write SLOWLYYY... 1 k per night is a great achievement for me, not to mention the editing, etc. So I should start early. Anyway, I am on the group chat if you want to start early. I will keep the windows open while writing.
I'll see if I can get over there while checking email. I was in chat for a few minutes and then bowed out to check email.

and I can't do the weekend after because I'm working Saturday and then hopping a train to visit my parents. The next days I have free are the 26th (a Sunday) and the 28th (A Tuesday). If those don't work, just schedule something without me and I'll show up if I can, and if I can't, well, I'll still be working hard anyway!

Same here, schedule around me. If you guys do something the first weekend, I'll probably be able to check in sometimes anyway.
Things are really up in the air for me until the end of the month. Once we get into June, my schedule will loosen up and it would be fun to do another of these.

By the way, our brainstorming session was pretty fun and productive, I suggest we also do it periodically even without the July challenge.

I love that idea, Cleon. I'm also all for more chats when we can coordinate them. That was really fun, and productive.

Too late. I am about to go to sleep. lol. I've had a hectic day today, and was out all day so I haven't written anything today. Next week will be nice though and hopefully I have written more to show for you guys.

My blond, bossy and butch cop is thinking too much. He's not a thinker, he's a doer, but he's thinking.
Good job, LC. We've had rain, then sun, then cloudy, then rain, etc. all day.
I like this idea. I'm assuming the times we set up for the first Massive Action Day worked for most people to be on line at the same time?
I can probably do next weekend... can't remember if I'm working on Saturday or not. Having to go to a conference in the middle of a week does tend to screw up the schedule some!

I can check in sporadically next weekend, but didn't Josh say he can't do it? I'd prefer the first weekend of June, but I'll be fine either way.

Good for you, LC! I'm delighted to hear it.

We'll hold you to it.

Well done!
Well done!
Okay. This is not a challenge or anything. I'm just making myself accountable by saying I plan to finish the rough draft of Green Glass Beads by end of Wednesday. Come hell or high water.
So you won't be hearing from me until then, though I'll cast the occasional watchful eye in this direction.
Have a good productive half week. And I'll see you on Thursday!

See you, Josh! And I am looking forward to read more Green Glass Beads!

Oh yes, I think I should make a similar promise and finish rough draft for July challenge this week too! LC can use her crops on me if I failed. LOL.

ETA: If I don't finish, I'm not volunteering for the crop, though.

Awww. you're no fun. lol.
Well, I've got a new plot ready to go for the July story. It's basic though, so I need to flesh it out. I'm hoping to get that done by the end of today, as I'm going to a three day conference tomorrow morning.
Good luck guys on all of your projects! I'll check back in later today and let you know how I'm fairing.
btw, a new file with the basic plot will be posted to the mmcrits group shortly.

Woot! Go Anne! lol. What else would you prefer we do if you fail in your goals? You don't want to be cropped, but isn't that the point of the whole thing? This way you get your work done, and you don't get cropped. It's a win/win situation.

Hmmm, proper punishments.... I guess, if you don't write, you shouldn't get to read....
LOL. Yeah, I BET he's got his hands full!
And yeah, if you don't write, you shouldn't get to read. So, go write!

And that's my non-challenge :)

Well since it's a non-challenge, pick your own deadline. How far are you, now?
I wrote about 500 words this morning. Shirking housework always increases my writing productivity.

I didn't write much yesterday, and Monday morning is when I cycle with a friend, so no writing either.
But I did write some after dinner and now have an 840 word scene.
And that's not counting the bit I hand wrote last night in bed ... (still need to type that up)
On to scene two :)
Well, I've gotten some good stuff done, I think, though I have yet to flesh out my plot. Drat. Sadly, I haven't felt good all morning, thus, the amount of hard work I got done, is pretty surprising when you consider I could have been watching tv and nothing else. lol, would have preferred that!
Right now, I'm going to take a break from work. Get a good nap in, then bake doughnut holes for my trip tomorrow, and start packing some, I think. Then I'll get back to fleshing out the plot more. Otherwise, I could probably start writing and wing it. I think the basic plot is solid enough to do that. YES!!!!

Good luck, all!
