...of good, fairly short books that we could read in the upcoming sessions of Easy Readers, the book group at SteppingStones. Any suggestion are welcome!
Thanks, brie

OK, in Easy Readers, we're reading "The End of the Alphabet". It's a good, short read. Could any of you read this too so we can talk about it? Thanx!

Jenny | 2 comments I'll see if I can get that from the library. Thank you for the suggestion.

Last night I finished The State Boys Rebellion, by Michael D'Antonio, a true story of how US health officials institutionalized children who had been categorized "feebleminded" - but who were, in many cases, simply learning disabled, orphaned, neglected. It's a horrifying story, but a good reminder of how well-intentioned people can cause a world of harm.

Sandra Walker | 2 comments Hey, I finished it. You can see my review for comments. I'm glad I read it - definitely a book to read and reread.
