The Aussie Swap discussion

I keep reading all these blogs out there talking about summer reads! But considering that Aussie Land is now approaching winter, I was wondering what everyones favourite winter reads are??? You know the ones that make you want to curl up with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate in front of the heater.

Hmm... I like reading a good fantasy in the winter. Something I can totally immerse myself in. One of those traditional types with long quests and stays at cosy inns with warm soup and ale (not that I drink ale, 'cause it's probably gross, but the idea is a little romantic, don't you think?)
Those are the type of books I like to curl up with in winter. I can't give you specifics since I'm not big on re-reading, so there isn't a particular book I read every winter or anything...

Something dark and gothic, paranormal, you know Winter is PERFECT for sad, depressing novels ( the ones that Sas loves :P)

Unfortunately, I don't read them :/ so I can't recommend any but Entangled by Cat Clarke was good ;)It's so much easier to pick a summer read and quite frankly I read summer novels 365 days a year since I wear T-shirts 365 days a year :)

I think I feel warmer whenever I read books, no matter WHAT kind they are. Possibly this has something to do with the fact that half the time I'm tucked in bed or under a blanket. :) (the other half I'm taking a train or in front of the computer)

I’m finding superpower books are my winter reads or high fantasy...they seem to keep my head active and warm just because they require my neurons to fire faster than usual just because of the “power” or “not usually real” stuff haha.
