"Yes, large cats are OK.
Aleksandra wrote: "Would The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga work for this task?"Yes it would. Great book, by the way ;o).
Christine US wrote: "Can the title include "Cat" vs. a specific type? The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell"
Yes, "Cat" in the title works.
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "Would Legacy Of The Sphinx - M Goulding work?"No, sorry. Looking more for an actual cat, tiger, lion, leopard, etc.
Jayme(the ghost reader) wrote: "Would Cream Puff Murder work? Hannah Swensen owns a cat."Only if her cat plays a major role in the story. Example: The cats Koko and Yum Yum in Lilian Jackson Brown's "The Cat Who..." series would work because they play a significant part in solving the mysteries.
Could I read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for this task? Crookshanks is a cat and he plays a major role in this book in particular.
Amanda Pearl wrote: "Could I read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for this task? Crookshanks is a cat and he plays a major role in this book in particular."Sure, just make sure to explain how the book fits the task when you post.
I woanted to doublke check that "tiger" in title would work, as in Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Thanks.
Erin (NY) wrote: "I woanted to doublke check that "tiger" in title would work, as in Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Thanks."Yes, any type of cat will work so "tiger" is fine.
Jennifer N. wrote: "Would possessives work too? Like in Cat's Eye?"Yes, possessives work, too. I've added them to the task description (forgot about them the first go round ;o)).
Sue T wrote: "I think I may go with Murder Past Due if that works."Good idea. I have that one on my shelf, too! Yes, it'll work.
donna jo - have you read her lion shifters? also nalini sighn's psy-changlings - quite a few of them are leopard/jaguar shifts (the first 2 for sure), and then a couple of the later onesDonna Jo wrote: "I'm so sorry I already read the book Here Kitty, Kitty!
Pretty far-fetched but a quick read."
Dee, I did read the first one of Nalini's psy-changlings but couldn't get into it. But this is not my main reading interest, so I'm not a good judge. I just read the 3 The Magnus Pack books because I got so tickled at the titles for #2 and 3. And I knew from the covers pretty much what to expect (although I didn't expect all the fashion stuff in Kitty, Kitty.) Learning something new every day.
the first one is a bit weak, but they get better...i wasn't so sure after the first one either...she also has the lion shifters - which people say are even better than the magnus pack - starts with The Mane Event
chucklesthescot wrote: "How about
-it is the autobiography of a meercat and has the meercat on the cover?"No, sorry. Despite their name, meerkats belong to the mongoose family not the feline family.
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "Copycat - Erica Spindler"Sorry, Fiona. Plurals and possessives work (cats, cat's, tigers, etc), but compound words won't work for this task.
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "Magic Kitten 08. A Glittering Gallop - Sue Bentley
Has 120 pages."
Because this is a 10 point task, this will work.
Emma wrote: "What about The Meowmorphosis
?"LOL... That's a cat (OK, it's a cat in a suit, but it's a cat!) ;o). Go for it.
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "Kristi, I am gonna add Double Trouble - Sue Bentley as well as DD has a copy lol, if that's ok?
"You're welcome to do that if you'd like, Fiona, but you don't have to. Young reader books like these are OK for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks as long as they are 100+ pages.
Kristi (Passion for the Page) wrote: "Fiona (Titch) wrote: "Kristi, I am gonna add Double Trouble - Sue Bentley as well as DD has a copy lol, if that's ok?
"You're ..."
It'll give me an extra book on my 100 book challenge as well x
Would Guardian Cats and the Lost Books of Alexandria work? I know I'd have to go get it OK'd for length because it's only available as an eBook.
Danielle Louise wrote: "Would Guardian Cats and the Lost Books of Alexandria work? I know I'd have to go get it OK'd for length because it's only available as an eBook."Yes. If it's approved for length, it's approved for this task.
