Waterfall *Daughter of Northridge Earthquake*, The Dark and Morbid One. So say the Voices.

Stars fiddled with his drink, eyes shooting back and forth guiltily. Could they tell? Could they tell, just like Cainn had told him? Cainn had said the other souls could tell when the Host was still there. He saw one soul smile at her medical magazine. It scared him. He got up quickly and left.
He'd do what Cainn told him.
He'd find the Resistance.
He'd do what Cainn told him.
He'd find the Resistance.
Lily, who was sitting on the far side of the couch from Sonny, was trying to not let it show that her host was trying to speak with her. She crossed her legs and uncrossed them but, not wanting to seem as desperate and urgent as the man who had just left, got up, gave a tip, and then picked through a couple of magazines at the door before following after him."Hello?"

Stars froze for only a moment before his Host yelled at him, told him to relax. He put on a friendly smile and turned back around, cursing himself that he hadn't made it the three more feet to his car. "May I help you?" He said politely.
Lily decided to go the hard way. She had learned long ago to be less jumpy, and act mellow like all souls did. "What is your name?"

"Notes Heard Through Stars," Stars said. "But most people just call me Stars. And yours?" He just had to keep it cool until he lost the soul's attention and could escape. He couldn't let her know Cainn was still there. She'd have him killed.
She guessed by how jumpy he was that his host was still there. She decided to b direct. If she was wrong and he reported her, she could easily play it cool. "I use my host's name. Lillian."

Stars looked around nervously to see if anyone heard. They didn't seem to. "Your... Host speaks to you?" He asked, hoping his face would portray how a normal Soul would think.

Stars frowned. She could tell. Cainn ferociously told him to lie. "Sorry? I don't know what you mean."
"You do, Stars. I used to be like you are now. Frantically trying to act. No soul would ever be as jittery as you were in there. Not by yourself, at least. So what is his name? What has he been telling you?" She pushed him backwards a little.

"I know it can be disconcerting. I have learned to converse with Lily, and you might even call us friends."

"Lily said the same of me, in the beginning. She even had me believing it. But she accepts now that this is the way we must live." She stared up into his glimmering eyes.

Stars tried to focus through the stream of curses Cainn was yelling at him. "He told me to find the resistance," He said, a little foggily. Cainn went dead silent, so shocked and livid that Stars would actually say that out loud. Haven't you been listening? She's probably nothing but a Seeker! She'll have both of us killed.
Lily couldn't help that her eyes opened wider. This was more than she could have hoped for. "As does Lily. She wants me to go looking for them."

Don't. You. Dare. Cainn warned. So Stars just nodded, opting to listen to Cainn and not tell this Soul that he knew where the Resistance was.
"She doesn't know where exactly they are... but now that you've admitted it, will you help us find it?"His host doesn't believe us, Lily put in.

Stars just nodded. It was too hard to think, with Cainn fuming and this girl telling him her host was still alive. None of it made sense.
In her mind, Lily warned her that someone was coming. She put a smile on her face and turned gently, just like a soul would do. "Hello."

"Not feeling well," Stars put in at Cainn's suggestion. "This nice lady was just asking if I needed assistance."
Lily nodded, careful to keep her voice calm and the smile on her lips. "Thank you for your concern, though. I do not think he needs a Healer - he's just feeling a bit off. We were discussing whether or not I should drive him home, just in case there truly is something wrong."

She smiled and tilted her head towards Stars again. "So, did we decide I would drive you, or do you think you're fine?"

Lily immediately covered. "I'm sure it would be great to have you. I think we should go back to his dwelling. We can get something to eat and then we'll decide what to do after that." She gave Stars a warning glance. She'll be gone soon enough. Act normal and don't ruin it.

Stars nodded, listening to Cainn now. Cainn hadn't been wrong so far, except for the fact that he was alone in having an alive Host.
Lily took to the new suggestion. "That sounds fine. I was only saying his place because he had said earlier that he didn't feel fine." She turned to Stars. "But if you're up to it, I like that suggestion."

"That's a very pretty name too, Sonny." Lily followed her, dragging Stars. "Whose car are we taking?"

"We can take mine. My Host had a very nice car," Stars offered. Do not let that alien filth sit in my Porsche, Cainn snapped. Stars ignored him. "I am Notes heard through stars. Stars for short."
"My name is Breeze Through Green Trees, but when I was placed into this host they told me that her name was Lily. I thought it was pretty and still do, so I am known as Lily here." Nice cover-up, the original Lily commented, and she put on a smile.

Stars dug into his pocket for his keys, pulling them out and making his car beep as he unlocked it.
"Thanks," Lily commented. In her head, she felt the real Lily shiver with joy that someone else liked her name as well. She opened the car door and slid into the backseat, letting Sonny take the front.Shotgun, we used to call it, Lily commented drily in her head.

Stars forced a laugh, sounding completely fake, so he shut up and turned on the engine. "Where are we going?"
((Falls, in response to what you said on the I Am Number Four character topic, yes there is. Do you know how long it took my old, decrepit computer to load that page? Almost eight minutes. It was one step short of shutting down on me. Maybe your computer can handle HTML, but mine can't. So yes, as a matter of fact, there is something wrong with HTML. I now can't make a character or talk in that topic, because of it. Just because your computer doesn't have trouble doesn't mean the rest of us are fine too.))"I suppose to that restaurant. Sonny will ned to guide us..."

((Sweetheart, if every single page that has a picture cannot load, you must not be able to roleplay anywhere, especially including all the ad pictures here on Goodreads. Are you sure it's because it's a picture? I have a laptop that is the very first model of a laptop and can only run Windows 2000, but it can still handle pictures. Personally, I think if it really is the pictures, you need a new computer or something, not to make us change them all from pictures.))
"Yes ma'am!" Stars said, trying to be as cheerful as possible.
"Yes ma'am!" Stars said, trying to be as cheerful as possible.
((The ads are not a problem. The HTML has a specific loading and extra use that can't load. And when it loads the page, I can't see it. I can't see the ads, either, but they don't keep my computer from loading. And it is much easier for someone to change something to a link than it is for me to get a new computer. It's a rule in all of my groups - but again, now I can't make a character. So I guess that's fine, I just won't roleplay in that.))
