What is the best spin-off you have read of Pride and Prejudice? In my opinion, there is a two-part series by Linda Berdoll called "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife" and "Nights and Days at Pemberly". I have never read quite a good spin-off, but wondered other thoughts.

Mr. Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange, because its Pride and Prejudice through Darcy's eyes.

The only spin-off I've read is "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" (Seth Grahame-Smith). I loved it.

The trilogy by Pamela Aidan: An Assembly Such as This, Duty and Desire and These Three Remain tells each of the three parts of Pride and Prejudice from Darcy's point of view. I loved them!

Bitsy I did think he was almost written with a more feminine slant at some parts. I'm not familiar enough with the time period to know if that's a fault of ...more

I went through a phase where I read all of the P&P spin-offs I could find. My top ones are Pamela Aiden's trilogy, Amanda Grange's Mr. Darcy's Diary and Linda Berdoll's Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife (this last one is a bit bawdy and some Austen purists hated it, but I thought it quite good).

never wanted to pick up any p&p spin ofs, but just changed my mind. thankks ya'll.

I'm currently rereading 'A Weekend with Mr Darcy' by Victoria Connelly. This is about Jane Austen fans going to a conference about her books and becoming embroiled in a P & P type senario. An easy read but still enoyable.

I loved Only Mr. Darcy Will Do by Kara Louise. I thought it was a refreshing change as an Alternate Universe. A tad cheesy as it progressed but that's a common occurrence in many of these spin-offs.

My favorite was Pamela Aidan's Fitzwilliam Darcy Gentleman.

Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife Pride and Prejudice Continues by Linda Berdoll is a great sequel .. I didn't mind Mr. Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange either. Haven't read any others ..

my top 2 are
Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife Pride and Prejudice Continues by Linda Berdoll and Bargain with the Devil by Enid Wilson
just finished Mr. Darcy, Vampyre by Amanda Grange but did't like it very much :P

I really enjoyed The Man Who Loved Jane Austen.

I really enjoyed Jane Austen Ruined My Life! It was a fun read.

Meadow Yes, that book was really fun! I think it fulfilled that fantasy we all have of being the one to get inside Jane Austen's head and know more about who ...more

I liked Darcy's Story by Janet Aylmer not to mention Promises by Wendi Sotis.

I also love Bridget Jones's Diary and for a few more fun chick lit versions I recommend Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field and Austenland. And of course Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is hilarious. But I thought that Pemberley: Or Pride and Prejudice Continued was pretty terrible.

I enjoyed the anti-Darcy "The Independence of Miss Mary Bennet" by Colleen McCullough!

Definitely The Darcys Ans The Bingleys by Marsha Altman.
The best modern remake... Was... The Trials of the Honorable F. Darcy!!!

Pride & Prejudice & Zombies was great. Also Dawn of the Dreadfuls (P&P&Z Prequel) and Dreadfully Ever After (P&P&Z Sequel)

Bridget Jones's Diary is funny so far, but I just started it.

I would say 'Darcys Tempation' by Regina Jeffers. Its actually a sequel which shows Darcy and Lizzy in the bliss we expected but when a carriage accident leads Darcy into forgetting the last 8 years of his life, and he reverts back to the proud, reserved man - will he learn to love Lizzy?? Its a wonderful book!
