((Okay, let's do it! I'll rp Jake escaping the society.))Jake glanced around, then slipped towards the entrance. He made sure to stick to the shadows, avoiding people whenever he could.
Jia was sitting in an abandoned building, hiding form the guards. She heard the door open and saw someone sneak in. She made her hands light up with the energy and shouted "Who's there? There's no use fighting I'm more powerful than you are!"
A round of guards passed. Jake pressed himself to the wall and held his breath. After he heard their footsteps fade away, he let his breath out and dashed towards the entrance. He looked behind him then slipped outside, into a village lying on the outskirts. Jake looked around noticing the lack of uniform homes, people, and vehicles. He sighed. Free at last, he thought to himself as be began to meander down the main street.
Jia looked around and saw that there was no one in the building with her.I'm going insane. She thought and dis-summoned the energy the energy. She slipped out of the building ans went to the main street by a side street. she cautiously slipped onto main and bumped into Jake which knocked her down and made her glasses fall off.
Jake saw them, then bent down to pick them up. "I didn't say you need my help," he said as he brushed off the grime with his shirt and held them out to her.
Jia snatched her glasses from Jake and put them on."Well even if I needed your help, which I don't, you wouldn't want to help me. You probably shouldn't be talking to me unless you want to get arrested."said jia
Jake arched an eyebrow. "Who do you think I am? You must know that I'm here for a reason, and being here would get me arrested anyways."
"Look, I'm sorry for snapping at you, I'm tense around people."Jia said, calming down,"I'm Jia, What's your name?"
"Nice to meet you Jake,"Jia said, trying out his name,"So why are you running from the government? I don't mean to be nosy, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"Well... It's easier if I showed you." Jake lifted his hands and a small flamed burst into life, dancing on his palm.
Jia watched the fire on Jake's palm. "Whoa,"Jia said,"I'm running for sorta the same reason."Jia lit up her hands with her energy.
Jake's eyes widened with surprise. "What are the odds? So do you have a secret hideout? Are there more of us here?"
Anaya's eyes widened at the sight of the other peoples' powers. She glanced down at their shadows, but decided against bending them.
"I don't really have a hideout, it's dangerous to stay in one place for a while. I pretty sure there's more of us around here."Jia shrugged.
"Yeah, I think we should. I'm usually try to be independent but I guess I need help sometimes."Jia said
"Sounds good." Jake replied, then took a step towards the shadows. He swore that he saw a little girl there.
((um, how can you ask where I went if you saw me go into the shadows? and I'm pretty sure I get to decide if my charrie is there or not... -_-'))Anaya breathed in sharply. "I guess that's another new thing to my powers," she said to herself quietly, "disappearing."
Jake shrugged, "Well, let's go find somewhere to stay. I don't think we should hang out in the middle of the street any longer."
Anaya ignored her inner voice warning her to stay away and stepped out of the shadows. "I-I know a place," she offered in a soft voice.
Jake turned around to see a dark-haired girl. He softened at the sight of the thin girl and he said gently, "You seem too young to wander these streets."
Anaya shrugged. "It doesn't seem to have a place in this city. It's just there." She turned on her heel and began to walk towards the beaten-down part of town. ((lol~! rhyme!!!))
"Shadows." Anaya noticed a guard walking by. She stuck her tongue out in concentration as she tripped the guard's shadow, then knocked the guard out by banging his head on the wall using his shadow. "Like that."
Anaya's bare feet pattered against the cobblestone road as the threesome walked up to the building. "It's not much on the outside, but the inside is nice," Anaya said as she tugged the door open.
The inside of the broken down place was a thickly carpeted, cozy little hut. A small fire blazed in the grate, emanating warmth and establishing a sense of home. A few thick armchairs practically yelled, "Sit on me! I'm so comfy!" The same with a couch in the corner. A hallway led to the loo, a kitchen, and a staircase that led both upstairs and down.
Jake whistled. "Wow, this is nice. Better than anything I would find out there." he said as he sat down in one of the armchairs.
