Anything goes! There are no restrictions on the nominations, except that they need to be sci-fi and available to obtain copies...so get creative.

We will be allowing 2nd in a series we have already read, but since we haven't read anything, that is irrelevant this month

I nominate Rendezvous with Rama, a Hugo winner, if I recall correctly. I heard it's great.

I'm gonna go with Sphere by Michael Crichton. I've been wanting to read this one for a while. :)

I'm in the middle of reading it. Really good so far. I'm more than halfway through.

Hyperion was good but it will leave you hanging unless you read The Fall of Hyperion. It's actually 1 book that was split into two due to the lenghthiness.

How about Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut? Does that count as sci-fi?

I've read others by him and really liked them. Just for some reason, I've missed this one....the most popular....go figure.

there are like 5 books here that I own and need to read, so I am excited. I should shush though because lately my luck is bad with BotMs...lol

and yes Slaughterhouse-Five is definitely science-fiction!

Slaughterhouse-Five is an oldie but a goodie, such a great book and well worth reading again!
