Mark walked quickly down the crowded sidewalk, walking around people, avoiding decorative trees and benches. The papers in his arms fluttered, and he reshuffled them so they wouldn't fall.

Heather wathched Mark walk down the side walk she ran up to him "Hey," she smiled

Mark smiled back and lifted his hand in a wave. "Hey, Heather."

"Need any help." she held out her hand for him to put some papers in

"Oh, yes! Thanks." Mark sighed with relief and gave her some papers from the pile in his arms.

"sooo, hows all that science stuff." she asked

"Oh, fine, I guess. Testing futuristic cars and such. Going pretty well, getting close, you know?" Mark replied as he continued walking.

"Yeah.. I figured." said Heather

Mark glanced sideways at her. "Oh, really? Okay, well, how are you? I mean, what have you been doing?"

" No crime whatsoever I think the city has gone completely good." she said sighing

"Ha, crime is never gone for good." Mark replied.
((Sorry, watching a movie... I don't know about them liking each other...))

"Yeah." heather laughed

Mark chuckled slightly, though he didn't recall what he said being funny. He shrugged to himself. "So, how's, uh, Jewel?"

"She is fine, sad cause there are no evil." said Heather

Mark looked at Heather in surprise. "Oh, really? I've never thought that could happen. Well, maybe you could looked for trouble outside of Boston. There's bound to be more bad stuff."

" I know." heather sighed

"You do? Then why stay here around now squeaky-free-of-villains Boston?" Mark asked.

" I just dont want to feel homesick." she lowed her voice " I also think Jewel is kinda getting over something."

Mark stopped walking and turned to face her. "What do you mean?"

Heather stopped too " I think... I dont know but I think the last villian we killed she had some kind of connection with him, like a boyfriend or brother."

Mark grimaced. "Ooh, that's too bad. I wouldn't want that too happen to me. Luckily, since I'm a science dork, I won't have a girlfriend until later."

Sye walked down the street "wow this place is boring i guess the rumors are true the enforcers are pretty good...thats no fun" she sighed

Heather pushed Mark lightly " Dont say that anyone could like you."

Mark gave her a mocked hurt look, then smiled to show he was joking. "Ow, you pushed me! Anyways, I'm fine if no one likes me. Nerds always get benefits later, right?"

She smiled "Yeah I guess."

she walks into the allyway trying to get away from the large crowds but noticed three guys following her "so much for the city being squeaky clean" she sighed

Marked nodded, then began to walk again.

she turned her left hand into a short sword "hi there do you need something?"
yeah we do and we think you can give it to us
she got into position and yelled "help" she brought out her hand

Jewel saw Heather and Mark walking and talking. She came closer and started listening to their conversation. " I think... I dont know but I think the last villian we killed she had some kind of connection with him, like a boyfriend or brother."
How did you know? My expression is always unreadble, unless I show I'm happy. But how could you tell he was my brother? Jewel slowly backed up and quickly ran away. She changed into a hawk and took to the sky.

Heather saw Jewel and called "hey, Jewel."

Jewel quickly flew away. She flew to her perch, near a forest and looked out at her animal friends.

Heather knew exactly were Jewel would be. She ran over to Jewel.

Jewel saw her pet deer, bear, fox, horse, dog and cat playing together. She flew down to them and changed back into human form.

"Get down Jewel what is wrong." said Heather

((Sorry, been busy for the last few days!))
Mark opened his mouth to call out a greeting before both Heather and Jewel left. He sighed. Then checking his watch, he almost jumped out of his shoes and started running towards the labs.
((I'm wondering... Can Mark and his fellow scientists accidentally make a villain???))

Heather's stomach growled "Jewel come on I am sooo hungray ((sp)) I am getting chinese."

Mark went quickly through the front doors and security, then riding the elevators down to the labs. He could see through the clear glass of the elevator scurrying scientists and flickering lights of machines. When the bell dinged and the doors opened, Mark quickly went to his desk. He furiously gathered more papers and weaved past people and desks towards a testing room.

Heather looked at Jewel and sat down "Come on!!" she groaned

Jewel saw Heather still looking at where she was in the tree. "Wow," she whispered. "I can't believe she didn't see me fly away." Jewel went back to petting her pets.

Heather shrugged "Whateve."

Mark slipped through the door and entered the testing room. A subject stood in the testing area. He seemed normal. There was some muttering among the scientists around him. They went to their posts at different machines and entered codes to begin the testing process. A whirring noise began to come from each machine, as lights and dials flickered. There was a snap, then a shudder and a flash of light in the testing area. The subject's yells were inaudible. Mark shuddered.

Jewel got on her horse, Hawkfeather, and they galloped all the way to the hidden lake. She slid down from her horse, took off her shoes and walked into the cool, fish filled water.

The flash of light was blinding, making Mark close his eyes. He heard a crash and a zap of electricity. He tried to shout to the other scientists, but they couldn't hear him or he couldn't hear them. There was a roaring sound and an invisible force pushed Mark backwards into a desk behind. His head hit the edge and he felt himself black out.


Griffyn yelled in rage after the testing process was done. He punched his fist through a machine nearby. He glanced around at the damage the testing had caused. All he could feel was anger, he frowned, then jumped. He blasted through the roof and flew away.
