Gay fiction/non-fiction discussion

Does anyone have any suggestions for new or newer lesbian fiction? It would be nice to read something lesbian related with an actual story and not just sex. The last few books I've read (general fiction) have been so bad that I haven't bothered finishing, so I'm in need of something great!

Could I modestly suggest two books that I wrote? They are 'No Tide waits', a psychological story about a woman in a commtitted lesbain relationship who is tempted away by attraction to a third, powerful woman, and 'Exposure' which looks at how two women, one bisexual, the other heterosexual, deal with negative exposure in the press. They are on this site and available via Amazon and kindle.

Definitely! I'm an author as well, so I'm all about self promoting :) I will check them out. Thanks for the head's up. It's hard to find decent, lesbian fiction these days.

Thanks. I have to say that I love writing and my books tick over in terms of sales, though I hate the self promotion part. It tends not to be how I live, in any sphere of life.

I think poetry is ideal for expressing the kind of intimate, complex emotions involved with reconciling faith and sexual orientation ... and yet amazingly enough, poetry in general manages to strike a pretty universal tone as well ... gotta love self-expression! :-) RAW: A Poetic Journey - Finding a Way from Conflict to Revelation

I went through a period of reading a good deal of lesbian fiction for a review group last year, I don't find cause to do so often, but I actually gave this one five stars.
