Does anyone have thoughts about text (other than author name and book title) on ebook covers? Seems to me print books can be plastered with "New York Times Best Selling Author" (I wish) and other illegible type - but ebook covers are best left as clean and simple as possible.

Any thoughts or experience to share?

E.R. (er_marrow) I have 'Book One of the Infernal Tapestry" on mine under the title. It is too small to read in thumbnail, but is nice when enlarged.

I think there is a place for other type on covers, but we have to remember that with eBooks, the thumbnail is what people see. Too much, or the wrong kind of type will put people off instantly.

I have to say that I like some form of picture that links to the story. That way it suggests something and is still easy to access.
