What exactly do we mean by "real life situations"? Is this something along the lines of a contemporary book dealing with issues that normal people have to cope with, rather than mysteries or fantasy plots?

As the author, I can assert that Lilly's Wedding Quilt deals with the all-too-real life issue of women's clinical depression and potential suicide risk. I also promise that the book will not disappoint! I'm sorry I've not posted for awhile..I got bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider..yucky! But can I nominate Lilly? Thanks!

I was the one that suggested that theme but I called it Edgy Christian Fiction but Diane changed it to Real Life situations and I think a lot more can fit that title.

It is also available for free over on Net Galley! Grab it just in case it is picked!

Can I nominate When Sparrows Fall by Meg Moseley? I've been really intrigued by this one.
Kelly, I loved Lilly's Wedding Quilt! I agree that it deals with a lot of important social issues.
I would like to nominate The Lady of Bolton Hill by Elizabeth Camden. It is a new release and is getting good reviews.
Divinewas a Kindle freebie not long ago too. Lots of good suggestions.
I nominate
Danger at the Doorby Michelle Sutton

I wish we could vote, I love karen kinsbury and hope thats the book we read :D
I'd like to nominate
My Foolish Heart by Susan May Warren. I'm only one chapter into this book, but can already see the "real-life" seeping into the story in the form of a reclusive woman who frequently suffers from panic attacks and a man who I think is a war vet (not 100% on that yet, but pretty sure I'm right). Just from the first chapter, it looks to be a very good read.

Kelly, you could always nominate a different Karen Kingsbury book, then she'll have twice the chance of being picked!
Christy, that book sounds great! I had a friend in high school who used to have really bad panic attacks and it's not something you often read about in fiction.
As explained in the News thread, Rachel is super busy with her summer job so I am taking the initiative of picking July's Christian fiction group read. I hope you don't mind! It is:#1 - Lilly's Wedding Quilt by Kelly Long
Wow, two Amish fiction books to read for July! Yipppee! Since most of us read Sarah's Garden a few month's back for Amish group read, it will be nice to continue the story!
That one is good too! I guess I get a break this month since I read both selections. Both great selections though! And I love it when we have an author who answers questions:)
