Persona: Freja is very...ambitious. All she ever wants to do is discover more of the world, no matter the trouble. She purposely failed geography one year so she could take it again because she loved learning about the world. Well, okay, she didn't purposely fail it, she had a 'date' with her Nintendo and needed to beat Zelda during exam time. Whatever.

Appearance: Freja always has her hair back, as she claims it gets in her way when gaming. Since if she isn't gaming, she is exploring, she has a very small tan. Though you can guarantee if she goes camping, there is some sort of electronic with her.

Background: Freja grew up in a nice area of Ontario, growing up pretty much inside. Her parents told her not to play outside. When it was sunny, they said she would get sunburn. When it was raining, her parents said she would catch a cold. She went to school obviously, but her parents didn't like her going out for recess either. So what did she do? Escape of course! When she was 16, and she had a lot less nagging from her parents, she moved in with her cousins, then moved out at 18.

Persona: Genie is a quiet girl. She's been scared of the things she's been seeing since she was five for a while. Her parents kept moving, hoping they would get to a place where she wouldn't be scared, until she turned ten. Then they said that she was just making it up to get attention. She's still very scared of the things that lurk in the shadows of her house at night, and the things she catches in the corners of her eyes, but she doesn't show it.

Appearance:

Because she's so quiet, she needed something to speak for her. She died her hair in order to hopefully attract people to what she was saying, but all it did was earn her the nickname Genie. She hates being alone, so she always tries to be with someone, no matter who they are. She also avoids shadows at all costs, so she's very tan. While throwing a party once, one of her guests gave her a makeover, and she's kept the look.

Background: Genie's parent are very rich, so being spoiled when she was younger, they moved around from place to place to try and comfort her fears. Finally, they were fed up with moving and told her that her fears were irrational. She either had to get over her fears of these 'Night Watchers' as she calls them, or see a psychiatrist for help. She chose to pretend.

Persona: Eric (or Fox) has always been that guy who was just kinda... There. He doesn't stand out, and his name is one of those that can just slip out of your mind, so he decided to call himself Fox. Besides that, nothing much about him is special. He's mediocre in sports, okay in school, ikes all kinds of music and loves the rain. He's more of an outdoors kind of guy and hates sitting on his butt at home; so he takes part in a bunch of sports (although he's never the star.) Consider him the middle man. Thanks to his uber-lax personality, he won't mind it, anyways.

Appearance:
Fox has short, spiked black hair and thick, angled eyebrows while dark brown eyes peer out at you. His face is a bit rough (thanks to being shoved around at football practice) but his muscles are pretty toned from so much exercise. He stands at 6' 1", but usually feels very awkward about his height.

Background: Eric is a normal boy with a normal life in a normal family. He grew up with that one cranky old man down the street as well as the two nice old ladies next door; along with the mischievous kids that were four years younger than him that he had to discipline every once in a while. He and his little sister have always gotten along well (for no apparent reason) and have never fought; which also means that Eric doesn't have much of a sense for arguments.

She's not very repectful to anyone right away unless they strike a good chord with her. Her mind set is impulsive, but she's extremely intelligent. She can switch personas rather quickly when the time requires it and becomes a very serious and logical person. Her favorite thing in the world is music and she loves to sing. Also: she's from Alabama and she's a bit of a hick. Kate also believes that death should remain neutral and tries not to pick sides in fights between mortals and inhuman beings.

This is what Kate typically looks like. She has layered, purple hair, and it's pulled away from her face. Her eyes are clear blue, rimmed with dark eyelashes. She only reaches around 5'1". The only thing that's different about her when she's using her powers is her scythe (that she pulls seemingly out of nowhere).


Background: Kate's rather new to the shinigami business, considering she died around a few years ago. She used to be one of the 2%, and still had her powers of necromancy. She was walking around with her friends, goofing off at a carnival. Then, disaster struck. One of the cars on the ferris wheel had a weak cord and it snapped. It was about to land on a little girl when Kate pushed her out of the way.

Persona: Lucius is an honest, well raised, and determined man, but he is obsessed with hunting the inhuman races and believes it is his 'holy calling'. He thinks that they are a taint to the earth, only existing to ruin humanity. Whenever his friends come into play, Lucius always stays strong in his choices, an extreme leader. Because of this, he has developed quite a few connections and spread the word to those sightless humans that the supernatural exists.

Appearance:
Lucius is tall (about 6' 3") and lean, but very athletic. He has golden brown hair that hangs to just above his shoulders and light green eyes. Usually, he wears jeans and plain button up shirts that can get dirty without much fuss.

Background:
When he was five, Lucius' family went camping in the woods. They were hiking in an unfamiliar region when they were attacked by a pack of werewolves. Because he had 'the sight' Lucius saw them coming and instinctively ran for it, leaving his parents and older brother to be eaten. He still isn't sure if it's possible the stories of humans being turned into weres are true, but he constantly wonders if any of his family could still be alive. Although he'd like to believe that, he now thinks that he shouldn't have run away and uses the supernatural as an outlet for his anger, seeking to annihilate it.

Name: Lorena "Lory" Claxton

Age: about 161 (she looks in her twenties)

Species: vampire

Ability: She has supernatural strength/agility that would let her suck you dry in a second.

Persona:
Back when she was human, Lorena was the sweetest, most sophisticated gal in town. She would curtsy, and smile, laugh at all the appropriate times, and never show her ankles. However, after becoming a vampire, her life went tumbling totally upside down to the point where she was the opposite. She changed as the decades did, going through several homicidal streaks and drug dealing runs. How she explains it is 'late teen angst'. She is really quick to resort to violence and enjoys bringing pain to others, yet she often hums while doing so.

Appearance:
Lory is petite, standing at about 5'4", and used to have long black hair that flowed down her back forming ringlets. Her hazel eyes were often averted away from others. She wore, as any proper woman would, the full Victorian shabang.

Background:
When she was sixteen, Lorena's parent's began searching for suitors for her, which meant that she had to begin attracting them. This she did with absolutely no trouble at all, as a young, beautiful, and obedient girl. However, this also attracted a rather sadistic and newly made vampire (Bennet Furey) who had known her before vampirism. Being a sentimental kind of man, he kidnapped her after she refused his hand and turned her. She finally escaped from him after his home was burned by a horde of angry villagers in the late 1800s.

Ability: Jellal can shoot a flamelike purple string from his hands/fingers that can attach to inanimate objects. This allows him to control the objects like they are marionettes, hence his nickname "Puppet-Master." String looks like this: [image error]

Persona:
Jellal doesn't really care for anyone but himself. He is very laid back, but can become serious if the time calls for it. He likes watching what goes on around him, but he doesn't find it all that interesting and gets bored easily. If he has a goal, he will complete it, not giving a second thought to what the consequences might be. He's the guy that you see passing by when you're in trouble and scream at, but just looks at you pityingly and moves on. It's hard for him to get mad, but if you go against him, he'll get his revenge eventually. He's extremely smart, and not someone you want on your bad side.

Jellal has scraggly blue hair and dark, expressionless green eyes. He's tall but is usually slouching, looking a bit regal when standing up straight. His features are sharp, striking and serious, even when he's relaxed. He has a reddish-black tattoo over his right eye. Close up of tattoo: [image error]

Background:
Jellal was raised in a poor environment, his parents struggling to keep their jobs and provide food and shelter for him. When his dad died in a car crash when he was eight, his mom lost her job. She and Jellal lived on the streets homeless for a year, when a wealthy businessman picked them off the side of the road and gave them a home. There Jellal lived a life of luxury, but he wasn't happy. When he was 18 he moved out and got a job and an apartment, learned how to provide for himself. At age 19, he was walking along a beach when a rogue wave hit, almost drowning him. He was found and rushed to a hospital where he caught an influenza that killed him.
When he died, he didn't make it all the way to the light (or whatever) and came back as a shade to forever haunt the world. Jellal doesn't exactly hate Earth, but he longs for what comes next.

Echo grew up in an average family. She skipped eighth grade after the teachers realized she was purposefully trying to seem stupid. She tried to distance herself from her family when she discovered her sexuality. Her time is spent mostly away from her house.

Sasha is very touchy about his name. If anyone even mentions anything about it he will immediately become defensive. Sasha is a bit of a rebel, and has a curious way of wording things. He has a talent of getting on people's nerves and pushing them to the limit, then twisting their words around to his favor. He doesn't like to be bullied, and gets mad easily. He's not afraid of a fight and provokes a ton of them by being rude and careless.

Sasha has dark brown/red hair that has a tendency to make it hard for him to see. He has brilliant blue eyes and a black tattoo across his face, with multiple piercings on both ears. He's a bit smaller than average (and a bit touchy about that, too) but makes up for it in attitude.


Background:
Sasha grew up in a very strict, middle-class family, everything always having to be exact. He got tired of the endless rules and boundaries, and started rebelling and fighting against them. This got him grounded and punished, which fueled his anger, and he started sleeping on the streets because he was so pissed off at his parents. They called the police, and he went back home, but now they just leave him alone and avoid talking to him. He's planning to move out the second he graduates, which is getting closer...

Background: Roy grew up in England with his parents. Kids tended to hate him, so he sat alone under the big willow tree near his school and write. He made it through school perfectly fine, and moved to America to teach.

Ability: Um...vampire stuff? I dunno, he's not super-strong or anything...He just likes to...Drink blood and play CoD, I guess.

Persona: Roderich can be a kind, caring person. He has a soft voice and loves to listen to classical music.
However, this is not the case online.
Some people would call Roderich annoying, but he's not. What he is...Is a troll. There's nothing Roderich loves more than bothering 12 year olds on Call of Duty and Halo.

Aside from that, Roderich loves to play piano and cello.


Appearance:
Roderich has chestnut hair and light violet eyes. He has a piece of hair (he refers to it affectionately as Mariazell) that sticks up and curls. If someone touches it, he gets extremely...Well, I'll be blunt, he gets aroused.



Background: Roderich does not remember when he was born or where. He lived in Austria for most of his life, so he tends to say he was born there. He moved to America when it was first colonized. He's lived there since then, but his heart has always remained in his home town of Vienna.

Roderich absolutely does not talk about his parents.

Persona: Mari is your average Marine Biology teacher. She's very laid-back and humorous and gets the average paycheck; living the casual life that everyone un-average dreams about. She loves the beach and ocean (which is why she often takes "field trips" to the coast) as well as sunbathing; but even more than that, she loves drinking tea on a stormy night while being huddled in front of a fireplace.

Appearance:

Marina dyed her long, silky hair a deep aqua blue permanently to match her ocean teal eyes. She usually has a "formal" teacher's outfit on, but otherwise wears dainty white sun-dresses with a baby blue parasol resting on her desk. She will often wear black ballet flats (Since she hates high-heels) but also might forget about being formal and wear a tank-top, short shorts and flip-flops.

Background: Although she was born in England, Marina grew up in Ocean City, New Jersey; so she's grown to love the ocean with the yearning for the calm blue waves. She didn't have much responsibility as a child (which carried on to her status as an adult), and therefore causes her to be a ditz sometimes; though she tends to get along fairly well no matter where she goes.

Igria had a fairly 'boring' life, up until  two things happened to her: Her brother, Francis, got paralyzed from the waist down, and she met Al, her now ex-boyfriend. Francis and  Iggy were fairly close, up until the crash. Everything became alien to her after the crash; nothing would ever be the same.Soon after, she met Al. Al had just moved to her town, and he was everything she ever dreamed of. He was kind to her, and believed in doing the right thing. Al liked to call himself 'The Hero!', which was normally followed with a arrogant laugh. Recently, they got into a fight. A bad fight. And they broke up, shattering Iggy's heart.

A very muscular dog, great for running and attacking. He barks very loudly and has a sort of higher 'voice' than most huskies. His fur is pure white.
Background: Genie had had him for about 7 years. Then, while she was walking him, he spotted a rabbit and dragged her a long time before Sasha made her let go. He ran around a corner and caught the rabbit, only to be shot by a man. He came back a minute and a half later as a ghost to protect Genie.

To put it in short, Mara is a controlling beeyotch petty popular girl who will do anything to get her way. Mara is all smiley and butterflies until you get close enough to see the the false outer coat of innocent burning up from her devil's heart. Spoiled and bratty to the core with not a grain of compassion or sympathy inside of her, if Mara dislikes you, she will stalk you, humiliate you, rip you to shreds and KILL YOU. Stay away from this girl, unless you are one of her loyal minions. In that case, get help.

Mara has medium jet-black hair usually dotted with skull or butterfly hair candies. She dresses in the stereotypical "goth" fashion, usually in black or purple mini dresses, miniskirts, and skinny jeans. Her eyes are a muddy brown but masked by sharp purple contacts, her dark eyebrows almost in a permanent scowl. She's average height, but the heels make her seem taller.


Background:
Mara's parents divorced when she was very young, and she's led her life spoiled by both of them. She's always been her rich father's "Daddy's little girl demon" and mother's "Perfect little princess Satan's spawn."
She's never lifted a finger in her life, and always been at the top of the food chain. Mara's had everything she's ever wanted and more.

Boon is unkept and often discuting smelling. He reeks of dirt and doesn't care about it. He's often blowing his hair out of his face and has an aura of uncaring, selfish greed about him.

Background: Boon is just like any other guy you see, only he's a bully. He grew up in a small house with not enough barbie dolls for him to rip the heads off of, so he moved on to other kids. Soon he was harassing the whole neighborhood, and by freshmen year of highschool, he'd bullied everyone his age and younger.

Persona: Ken hates being a girl and is very tom boyish in her dress and behavior when she can control it. She is very adventurous and doesn't take things seriously. She loves joking around and it often gets her in trouble with her authority figures.

Background:As a child she always fantasized about herself- about how she looked like a princess and such. But as she grew older, wandering people in the forest started noticing her and calling her a ghost. In order to be treated normal, rather than a freak, she begged for a human form and ended up enrolling in the highschool. Only the gifted could see her true form, since she was shielded from other supernaturals, as well.

For the record... If your characters are supernatural, they cannot be seen by regular people. Only people with the sight or other supernatural creatures can see them. Regular people, without the sight, therefore cannot see them, and the supernaturals are not involved in society.

I might as well change it though, since people are ignoring it.

So, just to make it clear, they can't show themselves to 'mortals'? Because you have reports of ghosts and other stuff in the human world, I thought maybe the human mind might portray it as that.

It's not that they can't, it's that the mortals can't see them due to not having the "sight".

The reports are from people who have the "sight".

Ah. I see. So, like how Genie calls them nightwatchers, it's just another label by the people with sight. So... how about we say that that one day in the rp was the only time supernaturals were able to show their true form to humans and don't do it anymore. ^_^
