Strange Angels Series!!! discussion

does anyone know the name of the model in the cover of strange angels? I am really curious to know who she is she is stunning! I really like picturing her as dru

(I think she could also play Rose Hathaway in the Vampire Academy series movie)

i agree i think she'd make an awesome rose aswel. while she's pretty she isn't model-y and delicate looking which is great :)

i saw some of the actors people wanted to play rose i was like no way.

you get some female actors like angelina jolie who can pull of the whole "tough chick" thing and not look like an idiot but thats pretty rare - rose would be a hard character to pull off so they would have to be extra careful.

i swear they have the model's name for dru anderson locked up tight - i'v looked everywhere and cant locate it at all!!

every name that was related to the books (not the characters) i search there names and came up with NOTHING - total bummer. lol

Ashleigh, you're not alone... so I found at the back of the covers that the cover designer is Gregory Stadnyk with Michael Frost as the photographer. Put in Google, the most I could come up with was an info webpage for Michael Frost Inc and nothing else. There's some websites for a number of Greg Stadnyks but I couldn't find a portfolio or anything for either. Oh well. Maybe someone else will pick up on this info and hopefully have a more successful scavenger hunt? ^-^

Holy crap! Michael Frost's also the photographer for these covers:

- Christopher Pike, Thirst series (omnibus covers with the white color theme)
- Robin Wasserman, Skinned series (first edition covers with blond girl)
- Stacey Jay, Megan Berry series
- Kelly Creagh, Nevermore series
- Jenny Han, Summer series
- Richard Peck, Three Quarters Dead

I came by them completely by accident by looking at related books on Amazon and their back covers ^-^; :P

So despite how obviously widespread this guy is in the YA genre cause I'm sure there are more books to him it's obvious his company is very tight-lipped about names... probably because most of the models are underage? Hmm..

Lol Natasa as well as Ashleigh did some serious research!!!! lol but you guys are right it is very diffiicult to find anything about the model I will never know :/

lol yer i noticed he was the photographer for all those book covers the other day as well when i was searching for dru's model.
i was a bit surprised he was so popular - you'd think his name would be a bit more heard of.

i love the model..especially on the defiance book cover..she'll totally pass as rose..

i wonder where they get there models from?? do they just spot someone down the street and go "OMG totally what im looking for in a character, lets go harass them untill they agree" or do they go to some sort of model agency??

i like her pose..it really brings out the meaning of the title..

i cant believe lilith saintcrow is only going to make on more book about dru!! what is she thinking?? i know she wants to right about a new character but dru is one of the best characters i'v ever read, it will be so sad when the series ends.

Omg ashleigh I did not know that! I'm sad about that too because I love du as a character but am also excitied to see how it all ends for her.

i know im excited about the end - but why does it have to end so soon!! lol

at least it wont turn into one of those horrible series that drags on forever and gets super boring and repetitive.

i think this model is on the cover of these books too- aurelia & exile by anne osterlund. i was at the bookstore and then saw the covers and was like, "whoa! dru! what are you doing there? is there another strange angels book that i didn't know about?" hahaha

hmmmmm im not sure if it's the same model - but they do look similar if its not.

First off I do like the models and generally really like the covers...but am I the only one that was a little thrown off by the "Jealousy" cover? I figure that it is meant to be Dru and Graves (and I have no complaint about the models...even though Graves does look more mexican than asian) but They both seem very out of character in the way they are dressed...

That cover always seems to stand out among the rest...the other ones are pretty spot on in the "feel" of strange angels but I can't help but be a little nit-picky...

yes i thought the male models didnt look the way the book describe the characters.

i always thought the jealousy cover was meant to be dru and gravies but it doesn't look like graves to me, its kind of like a cross between the two guys.

I've always found the Jealousy cover to be downright weird. Dru looks like she's posing for a prom picture, and wouldn't it make more sense to have Christophe and Dru on the cover of Defiance, not Jealousy? The first half of Jealousy has a lot of Graves, yet he's not even on the cover for some reason.

The guy on the cover of Jealousy is Christophe, not Graves. Makes more sense now, yeah? :)

LOL yeah...so weird, when you look at the cover of Betrayal Chris. looks Wayyy different (plus I believe he's supposed to have lighter hair...)

Even then the idea of the title is actually a twist...you expect the heart of the jealousy to be between Graves and Chris but the real plot moving jealousy is actually Anna's jealousy for Dru and her mother I think a better cover would have some how included Anna--but eh what do I know about marketing book covers?

Caramelo, I agree. I was pretty confused why the book was entitled "Jealousy" until the very end of the novel, because I kept looking for some sort of confrontation between Christophe and Graves.

Hey I've been looking for who she is too!! Do you read the 'House of Night' Series?? The main girl Zoey is the same person I think....

i asked lili st. crow and she told me that the models for the strange angels are blocked. no one knows their real names because they dont want anyone to know.
